Y&R’S JOSHUA MORROW IN NEW MOVIE
The family film, GOLDEN SHOES, which includes Joshua Morrow (Nick, Y&R), is now on sale on DVD on Amazon.com. The soap fave plays the father of an 8-year-old boy who gets involved in playing soccer. "They asked me to do it and I said, ‘Of course,’ “ Morrow smiles. "It was a chance for me to do something other than Nick and obviously I love anything to do with sports, especially kid-related.” For his scenes, Morrow went on a week-long location shoot in Michigan. "I brought two of my sons, Cooper and Crew, with me and they even got to be extras,” he shares. “I even flew in my dad and we had a lot of fun." In the story, Morrow’s character is deployed to Afghanistan. “His name is George and he's stuck in a bunker, trying to get home to his family,” Morrow explains. “There’s a serious fire fight and you wonder if he’ll get out of there or not. You see that it’s a real rough situation and that he’s in peril. I got to be dirty and there’s gun play. It was a real cool experience and a different pace from Y&R.” After viewing GOLDEN SHOES recently with his sons, Morrow gives the project two thumbs up. “It’s got a great message about chasing your dreams and not giving up,” he assesses. “It’s a really great movie for the whole family."
