Y&R’s Former Head Writer Returns

Comments

Hot on the heels of Sally Sussman taking over the reins as head writer of Y&R comes news from Daytime Confidential that Kay Alden, who assumed the top scribe post in 1998 when co-creator William J. Bell retired, then left in 2006, is coming back as story consultant. CBS Daytime and CBS Entertainment Executive Vice-President Angelica McDaniel commented, “Welcoming Kay back to The Young and the Restless, joining Sally Sussman and Mal Young [executive producer], continues our commitment to telling the most powerful stories while honoring the legacy of daytime’s No. 1 drama.”
