Lauren was shocked to realize that the Tom she’d been speaking with was none other than “Terrible Tom.” She reamed him out for torturing his sons, but Tom didn’t really care. “Have you even made one iota of an effort to apologize to Kevin?” she snarled. Tom insisted he came to town to take care of his family. Lauren wouldn’t buy it and told him to leave town. He admitted that he kept his identity secret from Ashley because she wouldn’t have given him a chance if she knew the truth. Lauren told him that Ash did see his temper and wished him dead.
At Crimson Lights, Kevin regaled Mac with an amusing story. Kevin suggested they take a road trip together; Mac agreed. He then received a call from Lauren, insisting he come home right away. Kevin went to meet her, and Lauren informed him that Tom hasn’t left town. Kevin believed that they’re one step ahead of him, but Lauren told him that Tom definitely knows something is up.
John gave Gloria a gorgeous bouquet of flowers. They agreed that they need to find more time to spend with each other. John felt bad that it took him so long to come around to loving her. “I really admire you for hanging in like you did,” he praised. “I don’t know what I’d ever do without you, John,” Gloria whispered. John left and then Tom paid her a surprise visit. He told her that he’s heard someone’s looking for him. “You didn’t have to go through so much trouble to find me,” he said to a trembling Gloria, concluding that the legal notice in the paper had been Michael’s idea. Tom pointed out that her marriage to John isn’t legal, noting that she’s been “worming her way,” into John’s life. Gloria realized he’d been stalking her. “I love my husband. He’s nothing like you!” she said. “Nobody would ever know looking at you now that you come from trash,” he sneered. “I’m a different woman,” she insisted. “Outside maybe. But inside, you are trash,” he retorted. “You and me need to stick together. We’re still husband and wife.” Tom refused to back off, noting that whatever he did to Kevin, Gloria still loved him … and still does. Gloria grabbed a fire poker and held it to his neck, threatening to kill him.
A nice stock shot of Toronto was shown, as Michael arrived in the city looking for Scott. Before ringing Scott’s bell, Michael recalled Gloria explaining why Lauren may not want to mention her son. Michael finally knocked on the door and …. whoa, Johnny Depp answered! Actually, it was indeed Scott Grainger, who bears a striking resemblance to the movie star. A specs-wearing Scott revealed that he’s a writer, and didn’t exactly give Mikey a friendly reception. Michael was surprised to hear that Scott and Lauren are close … and that Scott seemed to have no clue about Michael and Lauren’s relationship. Scott took offense when Michael observed that Scott didn’t grow up with a normal home life; Scott explained that he and Lauren are close, and that she’d always take apartments near where he was going to school. Michael questioned why Lauren didn’t want him coming to Genoa City, but Scott didn’t know. Michael apologized for showing up on Scott’s doorstep and assured Scott that he loves Lauren. Scott was pleased that Lauren hasn’t hooked up with “some jerk,” and promised to not tell Lauren about their meeting…. In Genoa City, Lauren kept trying to call Michael and wondered where he was.
Also at Crimson Lights, Nikki arrived and commented to JT on his beat-up condition. JT informed her that Bobby almost killed him. “Marsino’s nothing but a goon,” he insisted. Nikki told JT that it’s his fault Bobby’s returned to his old life since JT cheated with Brittany. JT insinuated that Nikki had something going on with Bobby. After Nikki left, Paul urged JT to calm down and think about protecting Brittany…. Brittany snuck into Bobby’s quarters dressed like a delivery man. Bobby was happy to see her, but at the same time, urged her to leave. Brit obliged, but not before giving him one final “I love you.” Nikki arrived at Bobby’s just in time to see Brittany depart. Nikki hid and listened as Vinny arrived and told Bobby that Bobby was no longer working in the club. Vinny concluded that Bobby needs a “broad” in his life to make up for the “blonde chippy” Bobby gave up. Vinny suggested Nikki as an option. Bobby called Nikki a “desperate housewife”. Vinny noticed Nikki lurking…. JT performed the song he wrote for Mac, but she assumed it was for Brittany and walked out.
