Neil stopped by Drucilla’s office for some mid-day kisses and ended up offering job advice. He recommended that she come up with an idea that blows everyone away so that Victor will have some faith in her, and also that she needs to “diplomatically” kiss up to both Victor and Nick….

Nikki was appalled when she learned Nick wants Victoria to stay in Florence because he believes he is a disappointment to his father and that if his sister returned, he’d lose his position at Newman. Nikki cautioned him not to lose his heart….

Phyllis came home and tried to bait Victoria into staying in town. When Victoria wondered why Phyllis was pushing her to talk to her parents so much, Phyllis denied having ulterior motives but then blurted: “Drucilla Winters is sitting in your office right now … don’t you want to fight for this? What happened to you?”. Victoria insisted Dru can run the cosmetics division and that she was going back to Italy….

Kevin and Michael were more than a little surprised when Gloria told them if it came down to it, she would choose them over John, although if he asked that of her, “he’s not the man I thought he was.” After Gloria left for the GCAC to give bartender Bobby an earful of her current circumstances, Kevin told Michael how guilty he felt and decided to do something to make up for splitting up his mom and John….

Bobby and Britt chatted at the club; when she left, he received a phone call telling him the bills are overdue, he insisted he’ll pay them all….

Brad was so furious over Jack hemming and hawing about picking a CEO of Jabot that he resigned from the company….

Jill and Esther faked a letter from Billy saying that he wants no further contact with his mom. Jill “broke down” and tried to pour a drink, forcing Katherine (who knew she was being manipulated) to tell her she is free to go to Jabot and “let Jack do what he wants about it”, but Katherine coldly told her that nothing has changed between them. Later Esther admitted to Jill that she felt guilty for helping with the forged missive….

John spent the entire episode alternating between lying on the floor unconscious and writhing in pain until Kevin arrived at the Abbott house to talk to John about Gloria and found him passed out. Thursday, April 7, 2005
Michael told Victoria she “always did know how to make an entrance.” She wondered whether he is single, while he was curious as to what she was doing back in Genoa City. Vicky didn’t believe that her father would relinquish full control of Newman Enterprises, but Michael assured her that Nick wasn’t just a puppet. Lauren walked in on them and though the girls were all smiles, they circled like possessive cats around Michael, who was extremely amused by their exchange. Victoria left but not before giving Michael a lingering kiss….

The pressure on Drucilla built as Nikki stopped in to threaten her, telling her she “knows absolutely nothing about being a corporate leader” and that if she doesn’t satisfy both Victor and Nick, she should leave the company….

Phyllis dropped in on Jack to thank him for the night before; as always business came between them as she recommended that he hire either Brad or Jill as CEO. Jack thought she was up to something and said, “one day I’d like to have one romantic evening with you when one of us isn’t trying to get on the other’s good side.” Later, Phyllis stopped by to rub Nikki’s visit into Dru’s face….

Brad visited Ashley in her lab and encouraged her to take time off to get her father away from town and Gloria, but she worried about leaving when the situation at Jabot was so tenuous. Jack came by and asked Brad to meet him in his office; once there, Brad demanded to know Jack’s decision….

Nick and Sharon lectured Cassie on the repercussions of sex and grounded her. Sharon told Cassie she is worried about her daughter repeating her own mistakes, and pointed out that they lost years together because as a teen mother, Sharon couldn’t take care of her….

Kevin confided in Mac that he is still terrified of his father and that he blames himself for Gloria and John’s marriage dissolving. Elsewhere, “Terrible” Tom read the newspaper article about Kevin winning the lottery….

John told Gloria that he did love her but he could never accept her sons. After Gloria tearfully departed, John called Ashley and told her he was heading into work; on the way, he stumbled on his stairs and fell, accidentally stabbing himself on the leg with a letter opener and falling unconscious. Michael returned home from Oakdale and was stunned to learn that Gloria has been ousted from the Abbott house….

He was filled in on what happened while he was gone, commenting that “the entire Abbott clan was there? That must have been terribly loud”, and figured out that Ashley and Paul worked together to figure out who Gloria’s sons were. Later he went to the Abbott house and insisted that John speak to Gloria because legally, John can’t just kick her out, “any change in residence has to be voluntary”….

Gloria slowly walked into the house and emotionally met John’s eyes….

Brittany received a baby blanket and didn’t believe Bobby when he insisted he didn’t send it; she was thrilled that she had started showing and the couple shared a tender moment….

Daniel came home and was introduced to Victoria; after he left, Phyllis tried to learn what Victoria’s plans are ….

Sharon called Cassie’s teacher and learned that not only is her daughter not taking sex ed (meaning she lied about how she got a condom), but also that Cassie was not in school that day….

At Newman, Nick asked Drucilla to make an effort at getting along with Phyllis, whom she later called into her office….

The two women snarkily flattered each other; Phyllis won the round by insinuating that if Dru doesn’t succeed at running the cosmetics division, someone else would, and that she had a feeling that something interesting would be going down soon….

At Crimson Lights, Mac told J.T. about the lottery ticket, but passed what Kevin did off as a misunderstanding. She then promised to make more of an effort to get along with Brittany if J.T. returns the favor with Kevin. Kev pulled up a seat at their table and revealed that Gloria is his mother. J.T. put the pieces together and freaked out, shouting that Kevin brought a gun into his mother’s house. Meanwhile, Cassie tried to hang out with Lily, Daniel, Sierra and Devon who encouraged her to go back to school although they had the morning off. Sharon showed up and Cassie blew her off, complaining that her mother was overreacting, “I’m having a mocha, not robbing a bank.” (The rest of her table tried not to look at each other, awkward!). Not having any of it, Sharon hauled Cassie off to Nick’s office where they confronted her about skipping school and lying to them about the condom….

Meanwhile a frustrated Michael was about to pour a drink, when his doorbell rang. He was even more annoyed when no one was there, but then Victoria suddenly jumped at him and gave him a kiss. Tuesday, April 5, 2005
Phyllis wondered if Victoria returned to Genoa City for the CEO position at Jabot. Vicky claimed, “I just came back to get the lay of the land.” The women were startled by a knock on the door; Victoria hid, but reappeared when she heard Damon’s voice. Phyllis admitted that she and Victoria were going to be roommates, which prompted Damon to laugh, “that should be extremely interesting.” Victoria inquired about Newman and Jabot; explaining to Damon that she needed to know what was happening at the corporations before admitting to her family that she was back….

Bobby told Brittany he was looking into finding a job, and refused to allow her to return to work….

MacKenzie and J.T. were in the midst of challenging each other at the gym to determine who was in better shape when Brittany called and asked J.T. to come over….

Gloria tried to work through her grief over John by furiously cleaning Michael’s apartment (And in a shocking turn of events, Gloria was in jeans!). Both Gloria and John (who tried to remain stoic by discussing Jabot, but instead stumbled onto Gloria’s anniversary card) dissolved into tears in front of their children….

Jill coerced Katherine into talking with her about the CEO position; Kay still refused to offer it to her despite Jill’s warnings that Jack and Brad’s fighting could screw up the company; after Kay left, Jill asked for Esther’s help….

Brittany filled J.T. in on remaining in Genoa City and being committed to her marriage and family…..

Gina told Bobby a bartending job opened up at her restaurant; later an old associate, Vinny offered him money to hold onto stolen merchandise, but Bobby refused. Monday, April 4, 2005
