Y&R is on the hunt for an African American actress in her 30s to play a new character named Candace, who is described as “a super-smart, confident, kick-ass executive with a background in science from Chicago.” Despite her professional drive, Candace “is entirely content being single” but “not opposed to a serious relationship.” Whoever lands this part, which is as a series regular, will start taping around the last week of August.
