Y&R Actor Reaches Out To Head Honcho

Comments

In a creative attempt to bring back Phillip Chancellor III to Y&R for a gay storyline, his portrayer, Thom Bierdz, posted a video on You Tube (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nP61lUTonTk) to Executive Producer Jill Farren Phelps. In it, the actor introduced himself and sang a plea for his character to return for a romance. "I have 8000 Facebook friends and they keep urging me to talk to Jill but I do not have an agent and have no way of getting in contact with her," Bierdz explains exclusively to Digest. "So I thought, 'Why not You Tube an intro to her?' " Bierdz is not concerned with how the video is perceived. "You have asked me before if my dating video seemed desperate, and here I am with a great new boyfriend, who was a sergeant in the Air Force," he declares. "I don't care if people misinterpret my videos as desperate. I live alone in a secluded forest paradise and make my living as a portrait artist strictly through Facebook. The only way I market myself is via FB and You Tube, so I think it's convenient and enterprising, not desperate. But I am fine with people thinking I am desperate. I told you that after my mid-life crisis, I care a lot less what people think of me. I really like me at this point."
