Devon told Drucilla he’s sorry she’s fighting with Neil. He believed that everything would work out. Soon Neil arrived. Devon offered to make them chicken and waffles, but Neil turned it down. Devon then shared that he spoke with Yolanda, who’s doing well. He stated that even though they’re having problems, he still feels he made the right decision in staying with them.

Mackenzie gave Katherine a present for her to remember her by. Kay was touched by her granddaughter’s gift. Meanwhile, Gloria was shocked when Kevin told her about Mac’s plans. She worried about her son, but he said he’s okay. He shared that he told her how he feels, but Mac isn’t in love with him. “Is there anything I can do?” Glo asked. “Yeah, find a way to keep Mac here,” sighed Kevin.

Lauren and Michael, as well as Kay and Mac, joined Gloria and Kevin for Mother’s Day. Glo loved the tasteful scarf that they and Kevin gave her. Soon Jack arrived and was surprised to see Gloria had company, namely Kay. He told Kay that despite their differences, she’s welcome…. Mac ran into a passive-aggressive Gloria. She suggested that Mac not keep in contact with Kevin. He asked what they were talking about, but Mac evaded the question… Ashley and Abby joined them. Ash was surprised when Abby revealed that Victoria took her shopping…. Glo and Kay discussed how difficult it is being separated from people they love. Gloria admitted that sometimes she misses John so much she has trouble getting up in the morning…. Jack and Michael talked about the Gibson case, but Lauren interrupted them. When Lauren turned down alcohol, Jack realized she’s pregnant. Michael took the opportunity to tell everyone their good news. Gloria toasted them.

Sharon and Nicholas admired some cards that Cassie had made for Mother’s Day. Sharon recalled how all she’d wanted for the holiday was to be with her kids. She grabbed Noah into a hug as she said this. He then gave her a “coupon book” filled with “coupons” for things like, “One day of no complaining.” Awww. Nick then revealed that he wants to put together a benefit in Cassie’s honor and would like Sharon to help him. She thought it was a great idea.

Victor tended to an injured Nikki. She asked him to distract her from the pain; he shared that he’s made a donation to the Women’s Center in Genoa City Hospital. She was moved by the gesture and kissed him. Later, Sharon, Nick and Noah joined them for the holiday. Nikki asked her grandson to make her a coupon book like he’d made Sharon. After he left, the Newmans asked their children if they were going forward with their separation. They were devastated when Nick revealed that he’s soon moving out and worried about how it would affect Noah. Nick insisted that he’s not walking out on his son. Nikki urged them to give it some more thought. The men and ladies then separated, and Sharon had it out with Nikki. She told her mother-in-law not to blame her, but to remember that Nick is the one who cheated. Nick implored his folks not to butt in. Victor explained that nothing comes before his wife and children and that he’s reinstating Nick and Victoria as Newman’s CEOs. Sharon was surprised he changed his mind…. Nick told his mom he’s suspicious of Vic for suddenly doing this, but Nikki believed he was sincere.

Over at Phyllis’s, Daniel and Lily gave her muffins for Mother’s Day. They didn’t believe her when she pronounced them delicious. She explained that she would’ve been satisfied with a card or phone call, and was even happier that Daniel had actually come to visit her. The teens assured her that they’re surviving. Phyllis admitted that she worries about them and called Lily her daughter. Lily was pleased. After, they went to visit Drucilla. As Lily caught up with her parents, Devon told Daniel that it would’ve been better if she’d come alone. Lily and Daniel then had a cute, little debate as she teased him about how many muffins he’d eaten. Lily freaked out when Dru joked that they were arguing like an old, married couple. “We’re not arguing,” her daughter insisted and bailed. Wow, someone’s sensitive! Neil blamed Dru for making her leave.

Alone, Phyllis rehearsed telling Jack she’s pregnant. “I know one thing, I never thought I’d be a mother again and I was wrong. I’ve been given a second chance,” she said out loud. Her monologue was interrupted by a call from none other than Jack. He filled her in on Michael and Lauren’s news and noted how babies always make people happier. Phyllis didn’t take this as an opportunity to share her news.

The show ended with a slow-mo montage of the following: Kevin giving Mac a sad, lingering look; Abby hugging Ashley; Mac chatting and laughing with Kay; Phyllis admiring her sonogram and then putting her hand on her belly; Sharon hugging Noah; Victor giving Nikki a flower and kissing her; Dru breaking down after finding a Mother’s Day card from Neil in the trash.
