Phyllis tried some more home remedies, including a nasty-sounding beverage,
in the hopes of inducing labor. “It smells like gym socks,” Nicholas
complained. Phyllis admitted that while she loves being pregnant, she wants
her old body back. The herbal remedies took their toll when she developed an
itchy rash and hot flashes. When they went to see the OB-GYN, he warned that
the baby’s placement in the womb might mean that Phyllis will need a
C-section.
Michael read aloud the temporary restraining order Jack and Ashley had
gotten which prohibited Gloria from using the name Abbott. Glo broke down in
tears. Her day only got worse when EXTREME CATWALK declined their invitation
for her to be on their show, explaining that they didn’t want to get
involved. After, when they got some precious time alone, Michael and Lauren
decided to celebrate their one-year anniversary by staying home with the
baby.
At the coffeehouse, Jana questioned Detective Sullivan about Carmen’s
murder. Maggie asked if Jana had overheard anyone give any tips on the
crime. Jana believed that Devon’s covering for Drucilla. Later, Jana and
Kevin continued to plan for their new apartment. Kevin mentioned that he
collects car magazines, which is how he knew what kind of car Carmen drove.
Jana noted that the killer could’ve been in Crimson Lights. Jana revealed to
Kevin that she’s keeping a “creepy” scrap book on Carmen’s murder. Creepy is
one way to put it!…. Paul and Maggie continued to bond.
Jill complained to Katherine that Kay’s restlessness kept her up all night.
The ladies hoped Jabot would have a decent holiday season, despite the NVP
tie-in being dropped. Who should call then but EXTREME CATWALK, asking Jill
to be a judge. Huge CATWALK fan, Kay, urged her to accept. Ashley was happy
that Jill was doing it instead of Gloria. Jill hoped it would help Jabot.
However, when a delivery person arrived with an envelope for Jill, Gloria
pretended to be her and signed for it. Gloria told off Jill when she learned
Jill was going on the show in her place. Jill was sympathetic when she heard
about the restraining order and asked Ashley if they consider Jill to be a
“real” Abbott. Ash said that Jill’s marriage to John had been legal, while
Gloria’s wasn’t. Jill called Ashley a hypocrite. Later, Glo arrived on the
Abbott’s doorstep, shrieking and screaming at Ashley. Ash explained that
they don’t want Gloria to make a laughingstock out of the Abbott name. Glo
vowed revenge…. Kay informed Jill that the DNA results had arrived.
