Viva Las Divas!
OLTL’s Kassie DePaiva (Blair) gives Digest an update on Divas of Daytime TV, her singing venture with Kathy Brier (ex-Marcie, OLTL) and Bobbie Eakes (Krystal, AMC).
In the summer of 2008, Kassie DePaiva joined forces with fellow ABC Daytime actresses (and vocal powerhouses) Kathy Brier and Bobbie Eakes to form Divas of Daytime TV. They made their debut that August and have been rocking ever since. “It’s still the three of us and we’re doing our regular show, plus four Christmas songs,” reports DePaiva of the group’s December 5 concert at the Broadway Theater in Pitman, NJ.
Fans can expect the standards, which range from Loretta Lynn to Guns N’ Roses covers, but the Divas have added “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home),” “Silver Bells,” “Winter Wonderland” and “White Christmas” to the set list. “We’re actually going into the recording studio to record the Christmas songs and will be selling the music at the venue and hopefully on our Web site,” reveals DePaiva. “Of course, I bought some jingle bells and now that everything’s out in the stores, I can pick up some hats. It’ll be fun!”
The actress also shares that the group has signed on for Rock the Soap 2, Bob Guiney‘s all-star cruise in April 2010. “We just have a delightful time doing it!” she grins.
