Tuesday Fast Five With Bill Hayes And Susan Seaforth Hayes
What is your favorite Christmas carol?
Susan: “ ‘Joy to the World’. (Remember when we had plenty of that?)”
Bill: “The winner has to be ‘Silent Night’. It brings back so many family memories.”
What is a Christmas tradition you love?
Susan: “Christmas Eve candlelight service at church.”
Bill: “Christmas cards. I love to write them and I love to get them.”
What dish do you look forward to making at Christmas?
Susan: “I enjoy using the Christmas hambone for seasoning a big pot of beans at New Year’s.”
Bill: “Chocolate fudge! This you should trick up with tinsel, glitter and big red bows.”
What is the best gift you’ve ever gotten?
Susan: “Bill and I have everything we need. After 43 years of happy marriage, we only want more time together, so we exchange kisses on Christmas morning.”
Bill: “The best wife, parents and children! No wrapping necessary, no tinsel, no glitter, no big red bows.”
Are you naughty or nice?
Susan: “As Doug, Bill seems pretty nice; as Julie, I still feel naughty sometimes.”
Bill: “Even Santa knows there are varying degrees of naughty and nice. So … a bit of both.”
