Rob Bogue: If you were stuck on a desert island, what’s one thing you couldn’t live without?
Gina Tognoni: My tweezers [laughs]! I like to keep things in shape! I’d find a mirror somehow! I don’t know what I’d do for a mirror. I’d look into my reflection in the ocean and I’d pluck away so when someone found me they wouldn’t run in the opposite direction! Bogue: Well, if you were stuck in the jungle for 20 years, tweezers would come in handy! If you could change the shooting location of GUIDING LIGHT, where would you choose?
Tognoni: I love it! One would be Hawaii. GUIDING LIGHT IN HAWAII. OAHU: GUIDING LIGHT. That would probably be it. Bogue: That’s what I would say! And we wouldn’t be doing a location shoot there. It would be the studios and everybody would have to move there and all the storylines would take place on the beach.
Tognoni: I was going to say Costa Rica, but I think it rains too much there.
Bogue: If Dinah were an animal, which animal would she be and why?
Tognoni: She would be … what is it, a centaur? Half man, half beast. Bogue: Oh, my God!
Tognoni: You know, Greek mythology. First of all, I’m a [Sagittarius] so technically, astrologically, I am half man, half beast.Bogue: I wish Mallet would’ve known this before they got married!
Tognoni: She’s that because she uses her mind. She’s fully human, but there is an animal inside her and she protects what she loves and fights for what she loves and has real power.Bogue: Awesome! That’s not the first thing I thought of. I thought my God, my character married some manly donkey [laughs]!
Tognoni: Also, she’s as clumsy as an ox [laughs]!
