The Bold and the Beautiful Alum Lisa Yamada Heads to ABC Primetime

Comments

While The Bold and the Beautiful said good-bye to Luna Nozawa by killing her off last November, the scene-stealing actress who played her, Lisa Yamada, is continuing to thrive in her post-daytime career — and is making her triumphant return to television, this time in primetime.

Following up her 2025 guest-starring gig on The Rookie, the Daytime Emmy winner is set to once again light up the ABC primetime lineup, this time with an appearance on the crime drama Will Trent. On Tuesday, March 10, Yamada will play the role of a peppy college student in the episode titled “You’re Only as Sick as Your Secrets.” According to the official episode description, “When a fraternity golden boy and his friend are found dead, Will [Ramón Rodríguez], Faith [Iantha Richardson], Angie [Erika Christensen] and the team work to unravel the case.”

Yamada’s guest shot on Will Trent marks her first television appearance since Luna’s reign of terror ended with her dramatic death, but is far from the only project fans can look forward to seeing her in. Last year, she landed the recurring role of Amber in the highly anticipated Prime Video series Elle, a prequel of the Legally Blonde franchise. Elle will begin streaming on July 1, 2026, and also features the late James Van Der Beek (ex-Stephen, As the World Turns; ex-Dawson, Dawon’s Creek) in the recurring role of Dean Wilson.

Will Trent, which premiered in 2023 and is now in its fourth season, has welcomed multiple actors with soap credits as guest and recurring stars. Former General Hospital star Jophielle Love (ex-Violet) has been featured in a dozen episodes of on the show as Cooper Ormewood, while individual episodes have showcased Jacinte Blankenship (ex-Regina, Beyond the Gates), Tamara Clatterbuck (ex-Alice, The Young and the Restless; ex-Barb, Days of Our Lives; ex-Tammy, GH), Bobbie Eakes (ex-Macy, B&B; ex-Krystal, All My Children), Michael Fairman (ex-Murphy, Y&R), Marla Gibbs (ex-Olivia, DAYS), Darryl W. Handy (Marcel, BTG) and Patricia Mauceri (ex-Carlotta, One Life to Live, et al).
