Thad Luckinbill On Y&R Return

Thad Luckinbill returned to Genoa City today as J.T. and the actor opened up about his return it the new issue of Digest. According to Luckinbill, who has found great success since leaving the show as a film producer with his company, Black Label Media, comeback talks have been going on for a while. “Long story short, I’ve always stayed in communication with Y&R — obviously, I have a lot of friends there and Amelia’s [Heinle, Victoria, Luckinbill’s ex-wife] there — so I always kind of knew what was going on,” he explains. “We had some conversations over the years about coming back for this and that, and it just didn’t coordinate with what I was doing with my other company, so they talked to me a little bit more recently about it. At first, I didn’t think it would work out, but it just happened to coordinate with my schedule in between films, and after talking for quite a while about it, it sounded like fun, so here I am.” Luckinbill reports that he felt welcomed back to the set immediately. “I haven’t seen a lot of those people in years, but one of the really cool things that you find in soaps, but even more so at Y&R, is it’s sort of a family,” he reflects. “A lot of the people have been there for a lot of years, so to go back and see them is a really, really great feeling.” For the full story, check out the new issue, on sale now.
