Ted King Cast In Pilot

Comments

Ted King (ex-Alcazar, GH et al) has been cast in the Amazon Studios comedy pilot, ALPHA HOUSE, which features John Goodman and Mark Consuelos (ex-Mateo, AMC) and is written by Garry Trudeau. "It about the senatorial house in Washintgton D.C. where a bunch of senators live together and all the hijinks that take place there," King explains. "This is a really special project and there are really special people involved. I am thrilled to be working on it. I showed up to the read-through, which was held in midtown Manhattan and walked into the room and sat down with my script. I looked up and there was Mr. John Goodman and sitting right next to him was Mark Consuelos, whom I have known since he was doing AMC and I was doing LOVING and THE CITY. We used to see each other in the hallway and chat." The actor reveals he was in talks with Prospect Park about returning to OLTL as Tomas. "I was in negotiations for ONE LIFE recently," he discloses. "I've always felt that online is the future of a lot of television and I think it’s agreat idea. I think Prospect Park is really smart to have licensed the rights to these shows and I I think it’s great that they’ve gotten the funding and are making it happen. Ultimately, we couldn't reach a deal, but we left doors open."
