What do you do when you have a bad hair day?
“I put coconut oil or olive oil, some kind of yummy oil, on the ends of my hair and put it into a braid or a bun and just let it sit in it for a day, conditioning. A bad hair day for me means that it’s really dry and damaged, so it needs a reboot.”
What hair care products do you rely on?
“Too many [laughs]! Right now, I’m really digging on Carol’s Daughter products; they are pretty affordable, but they’re quality and they don’t have sulfates or parabens and they smell really good.”
Who do you think is the most beautiful woman in show biz?
“Priyanka Chopra is insanely gorgeous to me.”
Do you wear much makeup in your daily life?
“I literally do not wear a stitch of makeup when I am not working or auditioning or doing something where I think I’ll be photographed. I try to keep my skin as bare as possible, go back to au naturel. I used to be a product junkie and I still have an interest in makeup, but my skin is changing, whether that’s because I’m getting a little older or it’s a hormone thing, and it’s become really sensitive. There are products I’ve been sad to say good-bye to because they have things like parabens in them, which just don’t work for my skin anymore.”
How do you take care of your skin?
“Right now, it’s breaking out, so the best thing I’ve been doing is skipping all the products and just drinking a lot of water and getting good sleep and taking things out of my diet that aren’t good for my skin, like gluten and coffee. All the fun stuff! But I really do like Michelle Stafford’s [Nina] line, Skin Nation, because my skin, my body, my hair just loves coconut.”
