Soaps’ Most Beautiful Women – Kassie DePaiva

Comments

How did your perception of beauty change while you were going through your cancer treatment?

“I realized more than anything that we are not our bodies. Your body and looks will fail you. It’s just a matter of time. But your spirit will never fail you, and I think that’s where beauty lies.”

How did it feel to lose your hair during chemo?

“I thought it was going to be something gradual, but on the 14th day, I woke up, and there was a massive amount of hair on my pillow. By 6 o’clock that evening, I barely had any hair on my head. But I didn’t think anything about it. I knew that if I lived, it was going to grow back.”

What’s the best piece of beauty advice you got from your mom?

“Not to smoke. She was a smoker. My mother is still quite beautiful, but I learned early on that smoking is not a pretty thing.”

Which celeb do you think is the most beautiful?

“Diane Lane, because she’s very natural.”

What makeup items are always in your purse?

“ChapStick and Aquaphor hand moisturizer.”

What’s the best makeup tip you’ve picked up from your show’s makeup artist?

“I wear a long-lasting lipstick, Revlon ColorStay Overtime Lipcolor, because when you’re playing an aging slut, you have to do alot of kissing, and you don’t want to have to replenish your lips.”

Is there a beauty fad you regret trying?

“Perms. Back in the 1980s, when I was on the road with Bobby Womack, I gave myself perms because I thought it would be easier to have curls, but my hair does not take well to perms.”
