Soap Superlatives
Stand-Out Scenes
B&B: The food fight between Taylor and Brooke was hilarious fun, as was their walk of shame.
DAYS: The wedding was fantastic! DAYS pulled out all the stops and it paid off. Highlights included Will’s memories returning, Stacy Haiduk’s commanding performance as Susan and Kristen and Alison Sweeney’s frenzied return.
GH: Jonah’s funeral was touching, with great performances from Chad Duell (Michael), Eden McCoy (Josslyn) and Maurice Benard (Sonny). And to see all three of Liz’s boys together was a (very) rare treat.
Y&R: Phyllis slapping Summer was a long time coming. Someone needed to put that spoiled brat in her place, even if watching their once-loving relationship crumble is a bit sad.
Things That Made Us Go Hmmm
B&B: Epic food fight aside, Liam and Hope’s wedding had some very forced moments, with all the guests offering “advice” to the couple.
DAYS: Where were Doug, Julie and some other Salemites during the wedding? If B&B’s interns were invited to Liam and Hope’s wedding, Salem royalty should have been in attendance at John and Marlena’s nups!
GH: Even if The Invader is devoted to local gossip, would a wee bit of PDA in broad daylight between Drew and Margaux really merit front-page coverage?
Y&R: The show is doing so many things right, but we’d like to see more story for some beloved vets, like Doug and Christine.
Seeing Double
DAYS’s Bonnie is back, as is GH’s Ryan. We’re looking forward to seeing what the soaps have in store for its dopplegangers!
