Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Bill and Katie’s heated exchange about Will was interesting, and set up some good conflict for the two. And it’s great to see Ingo Rademacher’s Thorne get some more to do.

DAYS: Perpetually unlucky in love, filled with baggage but unwilling to let it define her, Kate is one anti-heroine that’s always fun to watch. Her confrontation with Ted was filled with tension and we can’t wait to see what’s next for her.

GH: Maura West (Ava), Hayley Erin (Kiki) and Matt Cohen (Griffin) have been fantastic in the wake of the Kiki/Griffin reveal. All three have been given complex, meaty material and have done a wonderful job.

Y&R: Lily and Phyllis’s talk was poignant and a welcome change from the usual “Let’s hate on Lily” scenes we’ve seen in the past few weeks.

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: Where does Hope get off insisting that Steffy attend her wedding to Liam? Talk about emotional manipulation! Good for Taylor for pointing out that Hope has no business asking anything of Steffy.

DAYS: For a homeless, jobless reformed serial killer without any resources, Ben was out of line with his sarcastic attitude toward Tripp. He should understand why Tripp wouldn’t want him living at the loft!

GH: If Scorpio really needed backup in his search for Finn and Anna, wouldn’t he turn to the PCPD and not a mob enforcer (Jason)?

Y&R: Did we really need to give newbie Arturo a brother so quickly? How about letting us get to know Arturo a bit more before introducing Rey?

We Love the ’80s

John and Steve’s ’80s-themed discussion on DAYS was fun, and nicely re-established the bond between the two. Kayla using her 1988 wedding anniversary as her phone code was a cute touch.
