Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Hope and Steffy had a pretty juicy showdown over Liam. We’re expecting many more in the future, now that Hope is with child!

DAYS: The show is doing a good job with slowly turning Gabi to the dark side. She’s been dealt several serious blows, which goes a long way in explaining her increasingly shady behavior.

GH: Who else found the scenes between Roger Howarth (Franco) and guest star Patrick J. Gibbons (Wyatt) absolutely adorable? Howarth and Gibbons had a delightful rapport on ONE LIFE TO LIVE (as Todd and Sam, respectively) and we really enjoyed seeing them together again. And Michelle Stafford (Nina) and Kathleen Gati (Obrecht) were a hoot when Nina attempted to play Wyatt’s bugle to quell Obrecht’s suspicions.

Y&R: The show is doing a good job showcasing its younger talent this summer. Hunter King (Summer) and Camryn Grimes (Mariah) were very cute when Summer tried to “help” Mariah in the romance department. Let’s see these friendships develop more!

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: Zoe is a wacky, intriguing new character, but adding another new teen to the Emma/Xander insta-romance isn’t doing this story any favors….

DAYS: How long was Ben without his meds? The show made such a big deal about him needing his pills, but then made it seem inconsequential when Rafe finally gave them to him.

GH: Drew confronted Nina about not meeting the ad quota for the upcoming issue of Crimson, but editors-in-chief aren’t responsible for selling ads — Aurora Media should have a whole department devoted to that. Also, Alexis needs a refresher course on attorney/client privilege: Immediately after Michael asked her to draw up his will, she told Sonny all about it.

Y&R: We’re enjoying Kyle playing matchmaker for Tessa and Mariah, but we’d like to see this charming young man get a proper love interest of his own!

Slow Down!

B&B is rushing its new romances. We already mentioned Emma and Xander, but Sally and Wyatt and Thorne and Katie could also move a lot slower. Katie and Wyatt were a fun couple that we enjoyed watching develop; let’s see that same care taken with their new love interests.
