Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Hope telling Liam she was pregnant was pretty dramatic, set against the backdrop of Fourth of July fireworks.

DAYS: Abigail and Stefan’s encounter was tense and intriguing. He’s still in love with “Gabby,” and there’s a lingering question of whether or not Gabby’s feelings for Stefan are still alive somewhere within Abigail.

GH: Drew Cheetwood gave the performance of his Port Charles career when Milo touchingly recounted his late mother’s struggle with Alzheimer’s. Raise your hand if you needed a tissue…. or several!

Y&R: The scenes between Hilary and Nate were very funny, and we laughed out loud when he suggested that the pregnant woman’s ankles were simply fat and not swollen!

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: The Hope/Liam pregnancy reveal was done well, but how many more months (or years, help us!) can the show play the Steffy/Liam/Hope triangle? It’s tired at this point.

DAYS: Not for nothing, but having a manic Ben call Ciara a bitch and a whore isn’t going to make us root for them to get together….

GH: It’s rather hard to believe that Milo’s mother passed away two years ago after a long illness, and that Max and Diane were actively involved in her care, without Sonny having any clue about any of it until this week. Milo, Max and Diane are not only all in his employ, but Sonny is portrayed as close to them.

Y&R: The “mock trial” the Abbotts held seemed to confirm that Jack is a Chancellor, but surely there’s a twist somewhere in there. It all seems too easy.

The Bloody Carpet Club

DAYS’s Sonny and Will wrapping dead Leo/Matthew in a rug and disposing of the body felt a little too similar to Y&R’s Victoria, Nikki, Phyllis and Sharon doing the same thing to J.T. a few months ago. In both cases, a call to the police would have solved the whole situation, and in both cases, they were kind of sloppy in “executing” their plan.
