Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Steffy and baby Kelly are happy and healthy, which is a big relief. With all the stress and drama surrounding Steffy and the pregnancy, culminating in her tripping and falling after a confrontation with Bill, we were concerned that tragedy might strike. And now that she and Liam are basically reunited, we can move on to the next chapter of this tale.

DAYS: Wednesday’s cliffhanger — Ben finding Ciara unconscious on the side of the road after a motorcycle accident — was very intriguing. Will he hurt her or help her? We can’t wait to find out.

GH: The courtroom scenes have all been fun, with Elizabeth Hendrickson doing a great job as icy prosecutor Margaux. Who didn’t feel sorry for Josslyn during her testimony? And it’s a relief to see Michael wising up — finally! — about Nelle.

Y&R: Jack’s opportunity to spend time with a lucid Dina were lovely and heartbreaking. Dina’s apology to Jack for hurting him and lying all those years about his paternity was very poignant.

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: Brooke is relentless in her shipping of Liam and Hope as this destiny couple. Considering she’s waffled between men her entire life, you’d think her idea of fated love would be a little more realistic.

DAYS: Why would Tripp and Ciara get busy on the couch when they know Ciara could walk in at any moment? They both have bedrooms. Furthermore, what kind of revisionist history is it for them both to say “nothing happened”? As far as we can tell, everything happened but…

GH: This week, both Nina and Kiki dropped by Alexis’s house for legal advice. She got her law license back; isn’t it time she gets her office back, too?

Y&R: Lily and Cane are good parents, but letting Shauna stay with them is an iffy decision. They probably shouldn’t get involved with her family drama, and Charlie is clearly going to be getting into trouble with this young woman. On a side note, Hilary’s expressions during the overly earnest Ashby family meeting were priceless!

We Need To Talk About Ben

Sorry DAYS, but it’s a tough sell that just because Ben has been “deemed sane” he’s ready to be back in society three-and-a-half years after he murdered three (four with Will!) people in cold blood. Especially if he’s going to get close to Ciara.
