Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Good for Steffy for standing up to Bill! He’s been forcing his way into her life for months, and Steffy tried to make it clear that she didn’t want him, so putting an end to his advances was a step in the right direction.

DAYS: It was nice to see Laura back in Salem. Her frank discussion about mental illness made the Abigail DID saga a little more grounded.

GH: Elizabeth supporting Kiki as she reported Bensch for sexual harassment to Monica was lovely, and Alexis’s first therapy session with Kevin was a gem.

Y&R: Nick and Victor’s fight over Christian was heated and highly charged. Their complicated relationship was brought to light, and Nick swearing that he’d defeat Victor seemed to rattle his powerful pop just a little bit.

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: Hope has gone from a strong, independent woman to someone who needs a man to validate her. What happened? Her personality has been inconsistent since she returned at the beginning of the year.

DAYS: The end of the Mexico story was pretty hokey, from the silly outfits John and Paul wore to Chloe offing Mateo.

GH: How did Peter’s kidnapper know where to find him, given that he’d been in lock-up at the PCPD until, like, five minutes before he sneaked into the Metro Court?

Y&R: We get that every soap needs a teen summer story, but this Shauna/Charlie instant romance isn’t working for us. How about start slow and build Shauna up a little more before featuring them all the time?

Insanity Plea

The conversation between DAYS’s Hope and Marlena about Ben was a real head shaker. As Hope pointed out, Ben is a serial killer (just cause Will’s alive doesn’t negate the attempt on his life!), so hearing Marlena compare Ben to Abigail, who offed Andre in the heat of the moment, was a really weak defense.
