Stand-Out Scenes

B&B: Taylor and Bill’s confrontation was a lot of fun. Seeing Taylor realize that she’d made a terrible mistake while Bill reveled in the leverage he now had over her was classic soap.

DAYS: Trapping Marlena, Vivian and Kate in a bunker together is pure gold. The three women don’t get along, but Deidre Hall (Marlena), Louise Sorel (Vivian) and Lauren Koslow (Kate) clearly play well off each other. The bunker just became the most fun place to be in Salem!

GH: When Maxie tried to ease the tension between Nina and Peter with a forced getting-to-know-you session, Nina’s rapid-fire recap of her sudsy life story was hilarious and performed to perfection by Michelle Stafford.

Y&R: Watching Phyllis, Sharon, Victoria and Nikki dispose of J.T.’s body was suspenseful and nerve-wracking! Their actions and behavior were true to each character, and now these four very different women have a shared secret that is just waiting to tear their lives to pieces.

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm

B&B: Liam’s excitement as he learned he didn’t actually shoot Bill was a bit much. Yes, it’s great that he didn’t try to kill his own father, but to jump for joy? It’s not like he found out he was going to Disney for the first time.

DAYS: Tripp’s a bit of a dim bulb. Did he really think that voting for Claire in the Bella contest was a smart move? He’s dating her competition! Ciara is right to be angry. We’re also not sold on the contest as a whole; of all the hopefuls for this national contest, it was down to two young women who not only live in the same town but are related! That’s a bit of a stretch.

GH: How on earth is it Carly’s fault that Mike wandered off with Avery at the park? The blame should fall solely on Pilar the nanny, who left them alone to fetch a pretzel. She’s no Leticia, that’s for sure.

Y&R: Nikki killed J.T. In defense of Victoria. Was covering up his death rather than simply calling 911 really the route to take?

Kyle With A Smile
Y&R’s Kyle is the most smarmy addition to the canvas in some time, and we mean that in the best possible way. It’s been a blast watching him slither around, trying to take over Jabot and screw over his father. He’s bound to be taken down a notch when he inevitably learns that he’s not a blood Abbott, but for now, we’re just fine with his shady agenda.
