Stand-Out Scenes
B&B: Bill and Liam’s confrontation was great, with electric performances by Don Diamont (Bill) and Scott Clifton (Liam). Both parties had good points, and the conflict between father and son made for rich, character-driven drama.
DAYS: Marlena and Dr. Laura’s confrontation was a lot of fun. Raise your hand if you knew Dr. Laura was pulling one over on Marlena when she “transitioned” back to Abigail! Kudos to Marci Miller for the work she’s doing bringing her alters to life.
GH: Roger Howarth got to showcase his range as an actor when Franco underwent hypnosis to figure out happened to him as a child. The scenes, in which Franco started to relive the horrible trauma he had suffered at the hands of Jim Harvey, were harrowing but riveting, with strong supporting work by Jon Lindstrom as psychiatrist Kevin.
Y&R: Victoria’s therapy session was realistic and sad. As the character struggled to admit that she was in an abusive relationship with J.T., portrayer Amelia Heinle broke our hearts.

Things That Made Us Go Hmmm
B&B: Hope has got to take it down a notch. She’s becoming increasingly annoying and overbearing, and her moving in on Liam feels really manipulative. She’s supposed to be a beacon of light, but right now she’s just Hopeless.
DAYS: Why didn’t Chloe just call her agent or manager and have them investigate this mysterious new offer to move to Mexico and star in a new opera? Surely she doesn’t negotiate salaries and deals by herself….
GH: It was awfully easy for Jim Harvey, who is wanted by the police for crimes including holding Betsy hostage and the attempted murders of Drew and Franco, not to mention causing the Port Charles earthquake via fracking, to sneak back into town undisguised — and since he made it into the hospital undetected, why would he bother donning a doctor’s coat to try to access Betsy’s room?
Y&R: With the show firing on all cylinders, it would be nice to see more story from some other faves. Lauren and Michael could use something to do!

Travel Insurance
GH’s Elizabeth has been taken hostage in the hospital garage twice within the last year (first by Garvey, now by Harvey — we’re sensing all kinds of patterns!). Perhaps she should consider cabbing it to work?
