1999: Beth was engaged to Jim Lemay, and Phillip was married to Harley when a helicopter carrying them to a construction site crashed and they were stranded on a snowy mountain. Believing they were going to die, Beth and Phillip made love. 
2000: Beth found herself pregnant again. At the same time, her daughter Lizzie was diagnosed with leukemia. Beth had the doctors induce labor to save Lizzie with her baby brother James’s bone marrow. Later that year, Jim died in a tragic fire.
2001: Beth leaned on Edmund and helped him secure the throne of San Cristobel for himself. They married and she became a princess. But weeks later, Beth learned that Edmund was holding Cassie captive. She got a divorce. Soon after, she was caught in a flash flood and was again presumed dead.
2002: Beth woke up five months later … in prison! She learned that for the last few months she had actually been channeling her split personality, the brassy Lorelei Hills. Beth fought Lorelei for control, but Lorelei won and ran off with Edmund. Phillip followed them and triggered her memories. Lorelei was safely integrated into Beth’s personality.
2006: Beth suffered through losing Phillip in 2004 and then shockingly learning that he is still alive, but in hiding. These days, Beth is married to her former father-in-law, Alan, but her recent miscarriage erased all of her feelings for him. Both she and Alan are very focused on Lizzie’s pregnancy.
