1983: After landing in the hospital follow an attack by her abusive stepfather, Bradley Raines, Beth was befriended by Mindy. Originally, Beth dated Rick, but couldn’t deny her feelings for Phillip.
1984: Phillip was forced to marry Mindy after she got pregnant, so Beth began to tutor Lujack and she quickly fell in love with him. Mindy eventually got back together with Rick.
1989: Beth returned to town after being presumed dead for three years. The next year, Blake refused to give Phillip a divorce, but he proposed to Beth anyway. They made love on Valentine’s Day and she got pregnant. Their daughter Lizzie was born later that year. 
1991: At long last, Beth and Phillip were married and moved to Arizona.
1997: After Beth and Phillip divorced in 1996, he returned to town and struck up a relationship with Harley. Lillian told Beth about the romance, so she rushed back to Springfield with Lizzie to win her ex-husband back.
