PASSIONS Set Chat

Comments

PASSIONS is known for being the wild, freewheeling sudser where everything and anything goes, and that’s exactly what Weekly’s set Chat felt like.

Almost a hundred fans jammed in to talk with McKenzie Westmore (Sheridan), Galen Gering (Luis) and Ben Masters (Julian) for a full hour. Midway through, Tracey Ross (Eve) made a surprise appearance and delighted the fans even more.

The stars were deluged with questions from chatters in Spain, Israel, Bulgaria, Canada and the U.S., and they were asked about everything from their daily work schedules to the date of Masters and Ross’ wedding (more on that later).

Here are some highlights from each star’s comments:

Ben Masters:

I do hope that some of the old Julian gets to surface again and I think that perhaps that I certainly love the way the story has been going with the beautiful Dr. Eve Russell.

I think Julian is terrible to all of his children. He hasn’t visited Endora lately and what about Little Ethan? Julian is unredeemable.

I love working with Justin Hartley (Fox). He is such a talented young man. I like doing fight scenes with him!

I don’t know if Julian and Ivy will ever get back together. It seems now people like Julian and Eve but who knows?

I’ve never been to Spain but I’ve always wanted to go. I hear they have nice wine there.

There are no plans for Tracey and I to get married in the immediate future.

I really enjoy my scenes with Charles Divins (Chad). Charles holds his own and I am very proud of him.

My inspiration for becoming an actor was to meet girls.

Yes, Galen has played a prank before…he learned his lines!

McKenzie Westmore:

My CD has been put on hold but I’m going to be dealing with a very big producer in Nashville very soon and hope to have the CD done next year.

When I was a baby I did a commercial for Bold Detergent. Then when I was 3 1/2 I played Robert DeNiro’s child in Raging Bull; that is how I got my SAG card.

Actually when I was growing up I wanted to be a veterinarian. When I found out I had to put animals to sleep to be a vet is when I realized I couldn’t be a vet.

(On becoming an actor) Take lots of acting classes in school and do lots of plays and get as much experience as you can.

I LOVE LUCY is my favorite show and anything on HBO.

Galen Gering:

(Picking) my favorite scene on the show is hard. I have a lot of favorite scenes. I liked when we were in Paris on top of the building, considering my character is afraid of heights. We’ve done a lot of great stuff.

Precious is fantastic as far as monkeys go. No, really. I like working with BamBam.

I think my character is developing just fine. Perhaps Luis could get back on the police force. That would be nice.

No tangos to speak of but other noteworthy Shuis (Sheridan/Luis) moments are coming up.

The similarity between Julian and Ben is that they look a lot alike!

If I had to switch roles I’d want to play the old Julian Crane.Tracey Ross:

I wanted to be an actress ever since I was six years old. Acting is a wonderful profession and it would be great to major in theater in school.

Ben is a heavenly kisser.

Ben and I are getting married on Wednesday (she did not specify which Wednesday…).

They closed out the Chat with a joint goodbye — “We are so happy that you all joined us today. We enjoyed Chatting with you. We have to go and study our lines for tomorrow. Bye!”
