Luis jumped down the shaft after Fancy fell. Paloma and Sheridan were happy to see Sam arrive to help. With Indiana Jones-like skills, Luis caught Fancy mid-fall. The two were held by a rope. Sam informed them it might take days to get down to them. The rope came loose and the duo plummeted to the ground. “I can’t lose another brother,” cried Paloma while Sheridan screamed for Luis. He answered to let them know he is alive, then made it over to check on Fancy, who was unconscious. He held her in his arms and begged her not to die. He recalled several happy moments with her and said, “I love you.”
Kay and Miguel asked Fox if he had just been on the phone, but he denied it. He continued to put on his act and apologized to Miguel for being mean to him. Boy, did he work it by talking about getting a wake-up call from God, loving Kay, finalizing the wedding plans and acting sick. Once alone, Miguel asked Kay when she plans on calling off the wedding. Migs told her they need to tell Fox right away.
Theresa rubbed her victory in Gwen’s face. Mrs. C took off with J.T. so they can tell Ethan that Gwen was the tabloid source. Over the phone, Gwen told her mom she lost by $100. Bec was holding the money, but didn’t tell her daughter. Ethan knocked on the bathroom door, and Rebecca pretended to be Gwen. Bec explained what was going on to Gwenie. Ethan suggested joining his “wife” in the shower. Disguising her voice, Becky told him no. He said they need to talk about Theresa’s claim that she was the tabloid’s source. Theresa’s glow faded when J.T.’s car didn’t start. Cornell suggested fate wanted Gwen to get to Ethan first. Gwen sped away while Theresa and tried to fix J.T.’s “tin can.” Gwen arrived at the B&B, nervous about what she was about to walk in on. Becca called her from the bathroom and told her daughter to hide until she gets Ethan out of the room. Then, Gwen sneaked into the bathroom. She found out her mother had the $100 that made her lose the competition with Theresa. Bec demanded Gwen do what it takes — seduce, drug, leave town — to keep Ethan away from Theresa. Gwen put on a shower cap and robe and joined her husband in the bedroom. She suggested they grab their passports and take an impromptu vacation. While Gwen smooched Ethan, Rebecca slid out of the room. Theresa and J.T finally got on the road and rushed to the B&B. Mrs. C arrived, only to be greeted by Rebecca, who high-kicked Theresa to the floor. The women battled it out using umbrellas! Ethan heard the rumble, but Gwen covered by saying it was probably Mrs. Henderson being clumsy. Gwen told Ethan that he’s the love of her life and would do anything to keep them together. He asked if she was referring to the tabloid. “Was it you and your mother who outted me as a Bennett and then framed Theresa for it?” he said. Theresa fought to get to Ethan. Um, why didn’t the desperate Theresa just scream his name? Gwen struggled to tell her husband the truth. Ethan headed to check out all the noise, but Gwen told him not to. She pulled him into a kiss. Theresa barged through the door and yelled for J.T. to come up to Ethan’s room. She told Ethan Cornell has the proof to expose Gwen.
