Chad walked in on Theresa and Whitney’s talk about the e-mail that predicted a Harmonyite’s death. Theresa used his cell to call and check on Ethan, who was busy getting it on with his wife. Ethan answered, but cut the call short to get back to Gwen. Theresa asked him to “be careful,” and after hanging up, said, “He’s never going to leave her for me, right?” She seemed to be taking it well when Whitney and Chad left to make a call to Mother Superior at the Vatican. That left her alone to talk to the prophetic nun, who offered her help. “You can kill me,” a heartbroken and “tired” Theresa begged. She explained that she couldn’t live with repeatedly losing Ethan. “I give up,” Theresa shrugged, but the nun insisted she not to reject God. Theresa noted all the baddies were winning these days, but the nun offered, “Maybe things aren’t as bad as you believe them to be.” When she left, a tearful Theresa was unconvinced.
Ethan fell asleep after sex with Gwen and “woke up” to Theresa in bed with him instead. When things heated up between them, he really woke up from his dream and decided to walk it off. He walked straight to Theresa and was within potential earshot when she said, “I can’t tell Ethan that Little Ethan is his son.”
Whit was excited to let the convent know she wouldn’t be taking her vows. She and Chad mooned over their good fortune, but then Whitney went to say a prayer of thanks and Chad made a mysterious call. He let the person know he was back with Whitney, but promised, “Nothing is going to stop me from spending time with you” and “My having a wife isn’t going to stop us from getting together.”
Katherine and Pilar put their conflicts aside to look after Sheridan at the hospital. While they watched, she dreamed of Beth, Alistair and Marty. When Alistair said, “I don’t care who Marty calls mama. I’m raising him,” both ladies screamed. Marty ran right into Beth’s arms. As Sheridan screamed in her dream, her body went into seizures. With the doctors over her, she woke suddenly and announced Marty was going to die.
Fancy walked straight up to Luis, admitted she was falling in love with him and planted a kiss on him. Noah, who was standing with Luis, was horrified and Esme tired to comfort him. Of course, it was just a Fancy fantasy. She later told Esme she wouldn’t do anything to hurt her aunt.
As Alistair and Beth got settled on a steam train out of town, she begged her daddy to bring Luis along. He denied her request and smashed his cell phone so Interpol couldn’t track them down. When he left her alone, Beth called Luis from her cell and let him talk to Marty. When she asked if they could be together, Luis played along, saying he’d take her back in order to be with his son. A giddy Beth bought it hook, line and sinker, but a furious Alistair caught her and hung up. She wouldn’t believe his theory that Luis was playing her. Alistair then made a threatening call to Chris. He warned that both Sheridan and Chris would die if Chris backed out of their plan. Chris bravely insisted their deal was off, but Alistair promised he’d pay for that, even if Al himself ended up in prison. After he hung up, Chris burned documents with the symbol on them, while a helicopter with Luis, Noah and Fancy approached the train. Luckily, Interpol had had enough time to trace the call to the train and they were in hot pursuit.
On board the train, an alarm sounded, letting Alistair know someone had a missile aimed at them — and it wasn’t the helicopter. As Luis screamed for his son, a missile made contact and the train exploded.
