While Maya complained to Lena about Noah’s love for Fancy, the couple in question got busted by an Italian cop for swiping coins from the fountain. Noah launched into a talk about love and the cop went easy on them. That’s amore. In the meantime, Lena warned Maya that she’d better break up the couple. Maya argued that he would only give up Fancy temporarily until the FBI can catch Lena. She bemoaned double-crossing Noah. Lena threatened that Noah and Fancy might both die if Maya doesn’t lure him away — for good. Meanwhile, Noah was removing Fancy’s clothes. Later, as he lay in bed with her, a hand covered his mouth. It was Maya who told him not to wake Fancy up and led him away from the bedroom to lecture him about the dangers of his being with Fancy. She told him that Lena was there in Rome, but he said he wouldn’t continue to pretend he loves Maya and not Fancy. She kept at it, and he agreed to slip away. He whispered to a sleeping Fancy that he loved her.
Miguel and Kay got horizontal on the beach next to a campfire. She said she shouldn’t be doing this since she’s engaged to Fox, but they kept kissing. Fox, meanwhile, was paddling away in a row boat to find Miguel and whoever he was with. Tabitha, spying on the action through her magic bowl, gloated to Endora over the trouble it would cause when Fox found the couple. Endora summoned up some fog so Fox wouldn’t see his fiance in a compromising position. Fox was vexed by the heavy fog and wondered who Miguel was with, he hoped it wasn’t Kay.
The mysterious water-loving blonde popped up and called Miguel’s name in a dreamy sing-songy voice. Miguel pulled away from Kay when he recognized the mystery girl’s voice coming from the water. Kay couldn’t hear the voice and they didn’t see her. Elsewhere, the blonde reclined on the rocks and was revealed to be — a mermaid!
Tabby, who had just been badmouthing mermaids, spotted the scaly beauty and reprimanded Endora for conjuring her up. She insisted her daughter summon the mermaid to the house and she instantly appeared in a puddle on the kitchen floor. The finned stranger was mystified by the concept of chairs and amazed by her surroundings. “Is this what they call a house?” she marveled. Tabby insulted her intelligence (but isn’t fish supposed to be brain food?) and they traded barbs. Learning that she was conjured by Endora, the mermaid thanked the girl for freeing her. She begged Tabby not to send her back to her fable, she wanted to stay in the real world. Tabitha continued to threaten and insult her finned visitor. Tabitha mentioned Miguel, and the girl got even more excited and said that she knew him. A dismissive Tabby summoned her giant cat Fluffy to dinner, fish was on the menu.
