At Capricorn, Blair told Todd that she needs him to spill whatever it is he’s been hiding. Todd dodged it and walked off to take a call. Blair saw Viki and asked her what Todd was hiding, assuming that Todd told her. Viki said she can’t betray her brother’s confidence and asked Blair just to trust him. Todd’s phone call was the office. Someone called in a bogus news tip. Todd came back to his table and said to Blair that he did have something to tell her.

Meanwhile, out near the lake, a fisherman was flyfishing in a stream when he happened upon a dead, red-headed body lying motionless in the water.

Evangeline visited Cristian in prison to talk about what she learned about who brainwashed him. Cristian said he now knows it was Carlo. He said he wanted to trap Carlo into giving evidence that would get him freed. Evangeline was concerned for Cristian’s safety now that Carlo knows that Cristian is onto him. Meanwhile, a guard met with Carlo and told him how Cris was consulting with his lawyer. Carlo had the guard bring Cristian to his cell. When Cris got there, Carlo was eating a meal and drinking a glass of wine. He asked Cristian to sit down and join him in his meal. Cristian must not have been hungry, because he punched Carlo and held a shiv to his neck. Carlo laughed and said something that made Cristian collapse again.

Layla, Antonio and Jamie were on an airplane headed to Napa in search of Jessica. After Jamie fell asleep, Layla asked Antonio to fill her in on all the facts on Jessica and why she ran away.

A caseworker at the health clinic took Tess into an examination room and verified that she is in fact eight weeks pregnant. The woman offered to explain to Tess what her options were, but Tess replied flatly, “There’s only one option I need to hear about.” Jessica talked to Tess in her head and reminded her that it’s possible the baby is Antonio’s, not Nash’s. Tess told the caseworker that she can’t deal with a child’s problems. She said that terrible things happen to children sometimes and that she doesn’t want to be responsible for that. Tess walked out of the clinic seemingly set on having an abortion.

Bruce dropped by Nash’s cabin and accepted a payment for something. Bruce then asked why Tess is interested in a guy like Nash. He suggested that maybe it was because she knew about Nash’s overflowing bank account. Nash told him that Tess doesn’t know anything about his money. Bruce then asked if Tess was aware of the fact that Nash’s last girlfriend, Claudia Reston, was institutionalized after dating him. “Each girl winds up more messed up than the last one,” he taunted. He then handed Nash a restraining order saying he can’t come wthin 100 feet of the girl’s family. “Are you planning on using Tess and her family the way you used Claudia and the Restons?” he asked. He then handed Nash an envelope he said contained all the info available on Jessica Buchanan. Tess came home and saw Bruce leaving. Nash assured her that they would not be seeing Bruce any longer. Nash could tell something was bothering Tess. When he asked her what it was, Tess said nothing she couldn’t fix. When Nash walked away Tess called someone and made an appointment to terminate her pregnancy.

Viki joined Natalie and John at a booth where they were sharing a drink. She asked Natalie to grab her some water at the bar so she could have a moment alone with John. When alone, she apologized to John for saying he would hurt her. John said the apology was unnecessary, but Viki insisted. “What I should have said was I am very happy that Natalie has moved on and that she has moved on with a man as honorable as you,” Viki smiled. John squirmed.

When Viki left, Evangeline rushed in and told John what Cristian said about Carlo. She said they need to get Cristian transferred out of the prison and away from Carlo. “If you don’t do something, Cristian could be dead by morning,” she insisted.
