Up at the Lord cabin, Evangeline lit some candles (not in a religious way, just to offer some light). Todd asked if she knew what it feels like to watch “your wife have sex with the man who set you up to die.” No, she did not. Todd remained convinced that getting Blair had been Spencer’s goal from the minute he came into town. Evangeline tried to explain Blair’s actions but Todd wasn’t listening. Todd agreed to fight for Starr’s and Jack’s sake. “But don’t do anything drastic,” Evangeline warned. They shared an awkward hug before Evangeline left.

Blair asked Spencer to please come in from the cold. Spencer said that Bo had been around and that they thought Todd might be in the vicinity. Spencer showed Blair Todd’s wedding ring. Blair was horrified to realize that Todd had seen them IN BED through the window. Spencer remained cool and calm. Blair said they were lucky he hadn’t broken in and killed them both. Blair worried that the kids might have been taken but they were fine. Spencer thought that perhaps it was for the best “that you’ve moved on with someone else. Am I wrong about that?” The police came by and Spencer showed them Todd’s ring, proof that he had been there. Hugh arrived and was brought up to speed about the ring. Starr woke up and began asking Blair questions about why Daddy would leave his wedding ring. “Did he see something to make him upset?” Starr asked pointedly. Starr asked Hugh not to do anything to “hurt my dad.” Hugh agreed — sort of. Blair told Starr to go back to bed, assuring her that her “daddy is a survivor.” Starr stormed back to bed and didn’t respond to Spencer’s “good night, Starr.” Blair revisited her horror that Todd had seen them in bed. “Maybe he’s finally giving up on you,” Spencer suggested. Blair looked ill.

Nash congratulated Tess for “successfully killing the sale of the vineyard.” Tess was overjoyed. “I’m not going to let you give up on your dream,” she said. Tess worried that once her secret was out, it would be bye-bye Tess. Nash tried to put in a good word about Clint and Vikli but Tess said they only had Jessica’s best interest in mind. “What is it about crazy girls that makes them so irresistible to you?” Tess asked when the name of Claudia Reston came up. Tess let Nash feel the baby kick. “Our baby will feel loved and protected,” he assured her and didn’t let her continue with any what ifs. “The past can’t hurt us Tess, we have love and happiness. Believe in that.” Tess let him know that he was the only good thing that ever happened to her. “I was numb to everything else.” Tess and Nash kissed and he promised her that everything will be “perfect. Trust me.” “I do,” she said.

Viki and Clint were very worried about what was on the tape. Bo came in to look at the tape and noted that the label read “Tess.” Clint said they hadn’t watched the tape. Bo learned that there were a lot of tapes, all with different names on them. Bo promised he’d get the guy who did this. Viki demanded that they watch the tape. Bo left the tape with them and they gave him the box of the other tapes and begged him not to tell anyone about Jessica’s. They began to watch a tape of little Jessica sitting on a bed and watched the little girl say, “I’m Tess.” Clint and Viki watched and wept. Clint broke some things. (It was pretty awful.) The tape ejected and Viki broke down in Clint’s arms.
