Evangeline came by to see Blair and discuss the appeal process. No thanks, said Blair. “I don’t care if Todd rots in prison for the rest of his sorry life.” In his new prison blues, Todd visited with Viki, telling her “good-bye.” Nash popped by Llanfair to see Jessica. At St. James, John made junkie Ray’s day…except not so much. He shot the perp dead and a shaken Michael knelt to confirm the prognosis. “You almost got us both killed,” he told his trigger-happy bro. Vange tried to convince Blair of Todd’s innocence — without much luck. “This is not good-bye forever,” Viki huffed at her mopey sibling, trying to buoy Todd’s hopes — also without much luck. At Llanfair, Jessica was having some omelet issues. “She burns toast,” Nash confided, fondly, about Tess — and then offered to make Jess her eggs. “You’re acting like it’s a parking ticket,” Michael told John, amazed at his blase ‘tude about killing the junkie. “I had my shot and I took it. It was him or us,” John defended.
Blair and Evangeline went back and forth about Todd’s innocence vs. guilt as Viki and Todd chatted about…Tess, of all things! (Guess he needed a subject change.) Nash presented Jessica with a tasty omelet and they dug in, flirting a little — but talk of Tess soon interrupted there, too. John continued to defend himself to Michael and Bo arrived to dress him down for his “high-risk shot.” “Give me your gun, John,” the commish intoned. Starr blasted Blair because “Dad’s lawyer” believed in Todd more than she did. Blair admitted things would be easier if Todd was dead. Back at Statesville, Viki confided she considered Tess a threat — and, Nash, too. “I want Jessie back. I want my baby back.” Jessica admitted this whole thing with Nash was “confusing” (to say the least!). The pregnancy hormones got the best of her and she got teary. “I hate being a crybaby.” “You and Tess both.” Jess thanked Nash for the eggs and fled. Bo reminded John of the “standard operating procedure” and John coughed up his gun. “My brother finally lost it,” poor Michael told Bo after John was escorted to the PD.
Bo told Michael about John’s run-in with the evil junkie earlier at the station. Michael feared John would end up dead, just like their father. Meanwhile, John snarked at Crosby and an Internal Affairs guy. Viki arrived home to find Nash washing her dishes. Where was Jessica? Well, she was seeing Todd. “Were your ears ringing?” Todd asked. Jess refused to let him change the subject this time. Spencer and Vange tried to mediate Blair and Starr’s row and then Starr left for a ski trip. “There’s nothing that we can do,” Bo regretfully told Michael about John and the IA fall-out. Having learned nothing, John kept defending his call. Nash had a question for Viki: Did she ever feel Niki? Viki fiercely dashed his hopes that a part of Tess would remain after Jess integrated. Elsewhere, Uncle Todd and Jess shared some quality bonding time. Crosby and IA Guy asked John to turn over his badge, giving a concerned Evangeline the short version of events. John refused to accept that he was suspended. “Please don’t make this harder than it has be,” Crosby urged. “Go to Hell,” John hissed after handing over his shield. At the penthouse, Blair was sick of thinking and found solace in Spencer’s hug. Rattled by Todd’s plight and her own, Jessica found Nash still loitering at Llanfair. He drew the once-again teary girl close. “Let go of my daughter!” Viki ordered.
