NIki tried to make a quick getaway when she saw that Clint was at the bar waiting for her. “What are you, part bloodhound?” she barked. Sam tried to find out what was happening, but Clint, understandably, said it was too complicated to explain. Niki threatened to stick Clint with a knife. Clint started talking about his past life with Viki and managed to get the knife out of Niki’s hands. She appeared to faint in his arms.

Rex, Natalie, Evangeline and Cris all waited at the police station for word on the plane crash. Natalie punched Rex in his stomach to release some tension. Natalie expressed her frustration to Cris that no one listened to her. She had told John not to take that assignment and of course had told Cris many times what she thought of his boxing future. “I hate seeing you like this, Natalie,” Cris said. Natalie brought up all those nights she spent worried about him. “I am sick and tired of losing the people I love,” she said holding back tears. “It’s both of you,” she added as she fell into Cris’ arms. Natalie harped on the boxing thing and reminded him that a lot of things make one “feel good.” (Cris has said winning the match made him “feel good.”) A frustrated Cris left the police station and left Natalie looking confused. Natalie and Evangeline agreed that they all seemed to be waiting for things in the police station, making deals with God. They toasted with their coffee cups and decided that the two men had to be still alive.

Blair burst into Hugh’s office for an update on the crash. Hugh said he wasn’t going to waste any time worrying about a baby killer. Spencer pulled Blair out of that office as Evangeline entered. Evangeline called Hugh a pit bull and again reiterated that Todd was innocent. Hugh had no tolerence for baby killers as he had been adopted, he told Evangeline. In fact, Hugh told Evangeline that his parents had been very upfront about being adopted and that he had had a great life. (Adopted??? Hmmmm.)

John and Todd survived the night covered in leaves. Todd was determined to return to Llanview to clear his name, even if that meant he’d have to yank John’s “arm out of its socket.” John told Todd to shut up and help him go through the wreckage to find something that might help them get help. Todd had to go with him, but clearly didn’t want to. Todd grabbed a mental pole and knock John out. Then John hallucinated that his father was telling him he should have avenged his (the dad’s) death. John muttered, “Sorry Dad, I should have found him,” as Todd managed to free himself from his chains. Todd was striking the final blow when he heard a sound.

Tess woke up in the hospital and begged Nash to find Clint and stop him from finding out her secret. Nash wanted her to stay calm, as it was too early for her to go into labor. Nash wondered if they should call Antonio, something that Tess did not want to do under any circumstances. The doctor told them the baby is fine and he let Nash and Tess listen to the heartbeat. “This is really happening,” Tess said as Jessica appeared to be emerging. Nash managed to keep Jessica at bay. The two kissed, overjoyed at the victory. Tess worried about what might happen if Niki learned Tess’ secret.

Adriana read a contract from Giovanni’s modeling agency. Apparently, she had been tricked into signing it — or Dorian had forged it. “This has you written all over it,” she accused her mother. Dorian thought it was time for Adriana to see the world. Adriana accused her mother of signing it to keep her apart from Rex. Rex showed up to hear Dorian deny having done anything “of the kind.” Rex thought the modeling was a good idea. Dorian left happy. Rex and Adriana kissed but then Rex had to take a call and had to leave. Linda was at the train station. (Linda was the woman who might have some answers about Paige’s son.)
