Nice To Meet You, Nicole Forester
Soap Opera Weekly: Tell us about your screen test.
Nicole Forester: It was with Bradley Cole (Jeffrey). I met Ricky Paull Goldin (Gus) very briefly as I stepped out of the elevator. He made some comment about all the fresh faces around at the moment. He later told me, “You seemed very calm. You were very Zen about the whole thing.” I’m sure I was nervous the moments before I went in, but in general I felt, “If this is the right fit, it’ll happen. If it’s not the right fit, it won’t.”
Weekly: Didn’t you have a role on BEVERLY HILLS, 90210?
Forester: I played Steve Sanders’ girlfriend in the eighth season. I was the last girlfriend before he got married. My character’s name was Jill, and she was this very romantic girl from the Midwest who was writing letters to another character, Ted, in his office. Steve intercepted the letters and fell in love with Jill, whom he had never seen, because her letters were so romantic. Her fatal mistake was that she redecorated his room — took down the Shaq poster and put up Laura Ashley wallpaper. Guys generally don’t go for that type of thing.
Weekly: What about your own love life?
Forester: I have a boyfriend who lives here in New York. I had been living in Los Angeles for the past 13 years and would come to New York for brief periods of work or to visit my boyfriend or because I love New York. I really wanted to live here. And then GL happened, so it was perfect timing.
