Morris On Her Reel-Life Mom

Comments

With Mother’s Day and her exit from ONE LIFE TO LIVE both rapidly approaching, Jessica Morris (Jennifer) took a moment to rave to Weekly about on-screen mom, Catherine Hickland (Lindsay) and the lessons she’s learned over the last four years.

“I learned a lot from her. She helped me out from the minute I got there,” reveals the actress, who began playing troubled ingenue Jennifer Rappaport in 2001. “Basically telling me to start with a confidence in the part that I was playing and have strengths even when I was trying to be vulnerable.”

As the Rappaport women, Morris and Hickland have been both strong and vulnerable, weathering romantic storms, murder investigations, and family tragedy — and doing all of it together.

Says Morris, “She made me feel secure about being there and when I had emotional scenes, she would talk me through it and we’d go through it together.”

No doubt the volatile and versatile blond, mother-daughter team will get through the upcoming exit of Jennifer in much the same way.

“I look up to her because she seems like a very strong woman,” Morris admits, “and she’s very business-minded and I appreciate that about her.”

We don’t doubt that the appreciation is mutual.
