I was shocked to learn of Benjamin’s death. I enjoyed watching him play Hal from the very beginning. I cannot imagine any else playing the role. My thoughts and prayers are with his family and the cast and crew of AsThe World Turns.God Bless.

Sincerely,
Ginger Eisenbeisz

After reading about Mr. Hendrickson’s death on saturday I sat down to watch ATWT and trying to watch him play the dad of a dying girl was just to much. He was great in the role of Hal. Hopefully now he is at peace.

Thanksfor listening,
B. Harwood

To the Henderson and As the World Turns Families,

My sympathies are with you all. We try not to take God’s blessings for granted and give thanks to Him each day for all blessings that we receive. Yet, being human, sometimes we forget about the little blessings that are truly monumental, when compared to those who do not have them. I will miss him so, I pray his soul is at peace now and that he hears all the prayers going out to him. I hope it wasn’t because of an incurable illness, and he wasn’t suffering in pain. But for what ever reason he felt all alone, may Gods arms be waiting to caress his soul for eternity.

Sincerely,
Amelia L.Allen-Hatton

I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Benjamin Hendrickson. I figured something misfortunate was up when he temporarily left the show. I think it will be interesting to see how the scribes craft his departure so closely following “Jennifer’s” death. But, I am truly sorry for his death and extend my sincerest condolences to his family — both off and on the show.

Hal was great.

My thoughts a prayers go out to the Hendrickson family and the ATWT family. I was truly heartbroken to hear of Benjamin’s passing and the struggles that he had over the last year. I’ve watched ATWT for 30+ years and am truly going to miss him. I know his castmates are truly saddened by this and my heart goes out to all of you. Your all in my prayers. Benjamin, you will never be forgotten.

I have nothing to say other than how much I enjoyed his work as an actor in the role of Hal Munson. I have been following ATWT since I came home from Kindergarten in 1966 with my mother “shhushhing” us so she wouldn’t miss a thing. Hal, as I understand it, was intended to be a short-term character. I, for one among MANY fans, am glad he became a character we were able to know and love.I especially loved him when he was calling as a Fed to Margo from telephone booths with a beard and glasses. I loved that Hal. I loved all the Hals….

I am so saddened by the loss of one the icons of daytime television. His passing leaves a big hole in the fabric of daytime and my heart goes out to his family and especially those he worked with at ATWT. After watching his magnificent portrayal during his daughter’s illness and subsequent death I could not believe he was gone.

I have never been moved by a performance like that before and found myself believing that he really felt that way………broken, lost andin so much pain.

We shall all miss him so very much. He was probably loved more than he knew.

Sincerely,
A long-time fan of ATWT

I have always loved Hal, at times he is the reason I watch AS THE WORLD TURNS. I am very sorry for what his family must be going thru right now. When I heard he passed away I woke up my husband and cried to him I cannot imagine what his family and co-workers are feeling.

My deepest sympathy,
Melissa
