I am truly devasted by the death of such a great actor. I watch “World Turns” every day and will miss “Hal”. He was such a gifted actor and a joy to watch! My thoughts and prayers go out to his family in real life and his other family from the Show. There will never be another “Hal”.

It is so hard to believe that we will never have the pleasure of watching
Mr. Hendrickson’s work as Hal Munson everyday. He defined that character
with his own style, personality and talent. Since I have watched the show
over the years, he has been one of my favorite characters AND actors
(watching his banter with fellow castmates was always amazing). This is so
tragic, leaving so many people wondering why. Having watched my family deal
with the death of my brother, by suicide, my heart, my prayers and
condolences go to his personal family and his daytime family for their very
tragic loss. Mr. Hendrickson, you will never be forgotten. God Bless.

I am terribly saddened to hear of the dealth of Benjamin Hendrickson. To many of the fans, he will always be the only “Hal”. My deepest sympathies to his family and also the cast of ATWT. He will truly be missed.

I have been a fan of Benjamin Hendrickson’s since I first saw him as Hal Munson almost 20 years ago. I was so happy to see him back after about a year of bring gone. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and to As The World Turns. For me, and I am sure millions of other ATWT fans, there will never be another Hal Munson.

I am so deeply sorry forthe family and friends of Benjamin. I loved him in his role as Hal. He always seems so thoughtful and loving in character, as I’m sure he was in real life. He will be sorely missed. Nobody will ever be able to replace him. I wish he could have worked out whatever was troubling him, instead of taking his life. Unfortunaltely he’ll never know how much he ismissed. I was shocked to hear of his passing, but even more shocked to learn it was self inflicted. I hope his family and friends will be able to forgive him, even if they never understand why he did it, so they, themselves, can heal.

I am both sadden and shocked at the passing of Hal Munson on ATWT….This is all soooo surreal, here we have Jennifer dying and Hal in the room and then, in real life, he dies and to see him on today’s (Monday) show….was more than I could take….May Benjamin, R.I.P., as he will be sorely missed, even though there were times when I felt like the Oakdale P.D., acted like keystone cops…..I’m speechless.

I was so shocked to read that Benjamin Hendrickson had passed away. I am still in shock. ATWT will not be the same without him. He brought Hal to life and did such a remarkable job with every scene he was in. You could see it in his face how much he loved what he did. This past week has been difficult to watch ATWT with the storyline of Jennifer passing away, all I could think about is how his family is having to cope with this real life tragedy. It is never easy to lose a loved one. And I know that all of us soap fans feel this loss and will for some time to come. We truly lost a wonderful actor as well as a special person. Even thoughwe fans never knew Ben we feel as though we lost a great friend. I pray that the cast and crew get through this loss as well, from what I’ve read in the soap magazines itsounds like they are a family overat ATWT and they must be in a state of shock themselves.

God Bless you Ben and may your family find comfort in knowing how much you touched everyone’s life each and every day. You will always be Detective Hal Munson of the Oakdale P.D.

I am still in shock over the passing of such a gifted, wonderful man. I will miss him. I feel like I just lost a family member myself, and my heart breaks for the members of the ATWT cast and crew. I hope everyone can find peace in knowing he is with his family now in a far better place.
