In Memoriam: Benjamin Hendrickson Page 27

Comments

I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Benjamin Hendrickson. He made the character of Hal Munson. I began watching ATWT when Another World was canceled. I immediately became a huge fan of Hal Munson, so much I wished he could be my father. This was due solely to the amazing acting of Hendrickson. As I watched the 7/12 episode of Jennifer’s memorial I realized these were the last scenes we would ever get with Hendrickson. At the end of the episode I found myself unable to delete it from my DVR

Hendrickson will be missed by many. I pray he has found the peace and harmony he was looking for. As a loyal fan I hope ATWT producers give Hendrickson a proper goodbye and do not recast the part. Hendrickson will forever be the only Hal Munson.

My thoughts and prayers go out to his family, friends and everyone at CBS Daytime and ATWT.

God Bless

I would like to extend my deepest sympathy to the friends and family of Benjamin Hendrickson.I was very sad to hear of his death and it brought tears to my eyes. I have grown up watching ATWT with my mother . He was a wonderful actor and I do not think anyone could ever replace him on the show. I will miss him dearly. I am so very sorry for your loss.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Benjamin. He was the only actor who could ever play Hal. He was so caring, I always thought he was really living what he was acting. I truly adored him as an actor and when he was off the show, I counted down the days until his return. The show will not be the same without him. He will truly be missed and I send my thoughts and prayers to all of his family and friends.

Like so many, I was raised on As The World Turns; now I fill my mom in on what’s going on!!

I felt like a member of the family had died when I read of Benjamin Hendrickson’s death; and to have it happen in the midst of Jennifer’s death scenes . . . totally heart-wrenching! I can only imagine how difficult being on that set has been these past few days for his fellow actors; I truly hope they do not try to recast – there will always be and always has been ONE Hal Munson (with all due respect to Mr. Mantooth!)

I was so totally shocked by Benjamin’s death. He has been my favorite
character on As The World Turns for many, many years.

I wrote my one and only letter to a soap opera years ago when they were making it look like “Hal” had murdered James Stenbeck. I was so upset that he might have done it and would leave the show.

I have always thought Hal was a cuddly bear. He was a great actor, it is
a shame he only won one Emmy for his performance as Hal.

My condolences to his family and his As The World Turns family.

I can’t imagine what was so bad he didn’t think life was worth living. Since my bout with breast cancer 16 years ago, I cherish every day.

May God have mercy on his soul.

I can remember Hal on ATWT for so many years. He was a down to earth character “real” if you may say. I want to send my condolences to his family both on set and off.

You will be sadly missed Hal

It is so sad to hear the passing of Benjamin Hendrickson. I was so happy to see him come back to As The World Turns. He had his whole future a head of him. He had a lot of people that cared about him. It is hard to believe he is gone. He will be missed. Our condolences go out to his family.

As an avid fan of as the world turns for 20 years, I am deeply saddened and shocked by the passing of Benjamin Henricksen. There must be some comfort in seeing how he gave his cast mates embracing hugs which proved to be his last storyline. He will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Sincerely,
Sandra Thomas
