In Memoriam: Benjamin Hendrickson Page 23
Our Dearest Benjamin,
You came into our homes practically everyday for so many years and became our father…brother…friend. Today is such a sorrowful day knowing that you are no longer with us. May you rest in peace and fly high with the angels, our dearest friend.
You will be so sadly and incredibly missed…..

How shocked I was watching ATWT today (July12) and the loving memory and face of our “Hal” was shown at the end.I was stunned and after reading SOD article I am even more stunned and saddened.
I have always loved Benjamin Hendrickson as Hal Munson, all 21 years.I hope they willnot have anyone play that role now.No onehasthe heart or soul of this favorite actor.
I will miss him. May he rest in peace.

I was deeply saddnened and shocked to hear aboutBenjamin Hendrickson’s passing last week. He was such a gifted actor and I will misshim on ATWT. I shed several tears over the last few ATWT episodes &mdash some for a fictional character named Jennifer, but most for a real human being named Ben.
Rest In Peace Ben, my prayers are with you and your family.

I would like to express my condolensces to Benjamin’s friends and family on his passing. He will truly be missed by all of his fans from As the World Turns. No one could play Hal quite like he did and he always played him with such intelligence and conviction. I can only hope that he’s in a better place and that everyone will remember him for all of the joy he brought to their lives, including those of us in the audience that he reached everyday.

Dear Soap Opera Digest,
I was upset (cried) when I found out of his passing. I will truly miss him. He was one of my favorites on the show. My thoughts and prayers are with his family.
Sincerely

Words can’t begin to say how I felt when I learned of Benjamin’s passing.Still feeling. To think we will never see him again — it’s like a member of the family passing, and always waiting for them to come in the door just one last time. My heartfelt condolences to his family, who must be in shock and to my favorite soap, As The World Turns, cast and crew.Especially, Ellen Dolan, who worked so closely with Hal.
It was very hard watching today for the last time. My one hope would be that P&G would dedicate an hour show to Hal throughout his years on the show. He had such a rich, andsometimes amusing, history with the show.
I don’t know why you were so depressed as to take your own life, it is none of our business. But you are at peace now in the Lord’s arms. God bless your family and be with them during this really hard time.

I am so sorry to learn of the passing of “Hal”,
Benjamin Hendrickson. I have watched As The World
Turns since I was 13 and I liked the character of
“Hal” since he started on As the World Turns. I
remember seeing him some years ago at the Natural
History Museum at U.S.C. in Los Angeles many years
ago. I am so sorry that he is gone and I pray for him.
