I only found out today, Wednesday, July 12, that Benjamin
Hendrickson/Hal had died. What a tragedy.. He was the best.. And to find out on the day that he returned his son to Carly.. How ironic and yet beautiful.

I know that his family and the family of ATWT will truly miss him and I send my prayers to each of them.

The “death” of Jennifer has affected me more than any other death on a soap opera and I have been watching for a LONG time…. It was beautifully done, very emotional and Hal was a wonderful dad..

How VERY, VERY sad.. I hope he knew how many people loved him.. And the hugs from Barbara. This is a very sad time for a family and a soap opera family that feels as real as any family ever could…

God speed, Benjamin/Hal… We loved you.

I was saddened to find out about “Hal” passing away. My mother and I have been avid ATWT fans for a long time. We will miss Benjamin’s face and his acting. He was the best Hal that the show has ever had. Our sympathy to his entire family and to the cast at ATWT.

It was sad enough to see Jen leave the show but if Hal isnt recast it will definitely be another tearjerker for the Munson family.

Benjamin was such a believable actor that you felt like he was your friend, sitting and chatting with you. His performances were so effortless. When he left ATWT the last time, I was disappointed, and although Randolph Mantooth did a great job of playing Hal Munson, I was glad when Benjamin returned. I hope ATWT will hire Randolph to resume the role. I’m just so saddened about Benjamin’s death, and so very sorry that whatever demons he was battling finally overtook him. I know these messages are just words, but I hope that in some way, his family will realize just how much Benjamin’s fans loved him. He will truly be missed.

I was so sad when I heard of the death of Benjamin Hendrickson. I began watching As The World Turns when Another World was cancelled. Hendrickson immediately became one of my favorites. He was clearly a gifted man who will be missed by many. He will forever be the only Hal Munson in my book. As The World Turns will not be the same without him. My heart goes out to his family, friends and the cast and crew of As The World Turns.

So sad to hear of Benjamin Hendrickson’s passing. No one could ever take his place. He was a wonderful true to life actor. We missed him playing Hal last year. So glad to have seen his return.
