My name is Lore Parrrett, and I want to offer my prayers for the Hendrickson family. I have watched the character of Hal, since he first started ATWT. I have enjoyed his character and his talent and I along with so many people are in extreme shock, that he would take his own life. He was a wonderful actor and from what I have read, he was a wonderful person as well. I will miss watching him as an actor very much, there will never be another Hal Munson, Benjamin Hendrickson.
May God be with his family on screen and off screen.

HOW TRAGIC!!! I was watching ATWT today when I saw the announcement about Benjamin Hendrickson. I am so sad!!! I have enjoyed his acting for years, on ATWT and in movies. What a loss!! His family has my deepest sympathies.

I am deeply saddened at the loss of this great actor. Benjamin was a great actor and I loved him as Hal. He was so great to watch daily. He is going to be greatly missed in my house. I was so deeply touched by the way it was Jennifer’s memorial service the day that they told us he passed away. I just sat and cried and cried.

I have to tell you that I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of grief and love for Ben Hendrickson. I did post my comments yesterday, but what I want to say is if anyone remembers him from Purdue in the summer of 1967, please post, or contact me, Lee Ann Holly at laholly@yahoo.com. I haven’t seen him since then but have followed his career. I had had it in the back of my head to try for a reunion in the summer of 2007…. I just learned of the death of Benjamin Hendrickson (Hal) from ATWT. I feel like I have lost a member of my family, and pray with all my heart that he did not take his own life. No matter how bad we think it is on earth, suicide is not the way out!

My wife and I were deeply saddened to hear about Mr. Hendrickson’s death. We
really liked the depth he brought to the character of Hal. Being a musician,
I especially liked his role in “Consenting Adults.”
What a loss. Our prayers go out to his family and his cast-mates.

Where to begin? I have watched and been a fan of ATWT for 27 years. Characters come and go and are sometimes replaced with other actors. I have loved the character of Hal for many years. When Benjamin left the role of Hal I was sad because it just wasn’t the same Hal. When Benjamin returned I was happy because it felt like he was back home where he belonged. I just watched ATWT today and at the end of the hour saw the tribute to Benjamin. I was shocked! I will miss Benjamin Hendrickson in his role as Hal tremendously as he was such a great actor and he made you care about Hal. I wish to extend my heartfelt sympathies to Benjamin’s family and also to the cast of ATWT in this time of sorrow. My prayers are with you all.
