In Memoriam: Benjamin Hendrickson Page 12
With great sadness and a heavy heart my family sends love and our prayers to the family and friends of Benjamin Hendrickson! We always looked forward to seeing Benjamin (Hal) and his great words of wisdom. He had a way about him that always seemed to put us all at ease. He always reminded us of my dad. Just the most kindness, loving person, would do anything for anyonein the world! He will truly be missed!

I just cannot express how sadI am over the death of “Hal.” I hope that ATWT knows that nobody else should EVER play the role of Hal Munson again…Benjamin CAN’T be replaced. Not on the show…not in real-life.
While watching the show today, at Jennifer’s memorial service, I just kept thinking, “This show is taped…he’s really gone.” How sad it made me feel.
My prayers are with his family and castmates. He was my favorite soap star. I miss him already.

I have watched As the world turns since i was 18 and I am now 43. I am so sorry about Benjamin (Hal) Every time they would have a new Hal on I would always say please bring back Benjamin. Now he will never be back and it just won’t be the same now. Maybe they should have Hal die on the show because no one will be able to take his place. I know how it feels to lose someone because I lost my 22 year old daughter 4 years ago and it is so hard. My prayers are with the family and the cast.

To Whom It May Concern,
I heard the news today about Benjamin Hendrickson. I was very sad to hear that he committed suicide. I was watching yesterday’s episode of As The World Turns and started welling up when I saw him. He will be sadly missed. My heart goes out to all his family, friends and loyal fans. They’re in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely,

P.S.
I came across these poems that I wanted to pass along.
To Those Who Grieve
Still your weeping
Dry your tears
Grieve not for me
For I am near
Go not to that earthy mound
I lie not there, beneath the ground
I am near you every day
I see your pleasures, joys and fears
Still to my heart you are dear
I am with you — ever near
To see you weep saddens me
To see your joy gladdens me
So — hinder not my happy way
We will meet another day.
The Recognition
There is a place, like no other place.
A place without time, a place without light.
A place with an unspeakable language.
Yet we all know of this place,
Or at least we will.
We will all travel there, at one time or another, but it will take time.
Time that will seem like years.
A time of darkness, with only one light.
The light of destination.
When we arrive, we will be greeted by a man.
A large man with a thundering voice.
A voice with no uncertainty,
yet it is gentle and caring.
This man is the ruler of this calm, quiet place.
We will reunite with old friends and family,
And they will communicate in their new language until we learn it.
And are able to speak it with the same fluency.
We will soon become accustomed to this beautiful place,
Where we will live forever.
And forget about our past life, and go on as though in never existed.
But we will exist,…..
Forever
