Ben Hendrickson was a terrific actor who brought depth, restraint and dignity to the character of Hal Munson. ATWT and his many fans have lost a consummate talent. I pray that Mr. Hendrickson will find in death what alluded him in life. May he rest in peace.

Ben, thank you foryour wonderful body of work. We will miss you.

I was shocked to hear about the passing of such a good actor. I want to send my condolences to his family and friends. My thoughts and prayers are with them in this time of berevement. I cant imagine not seeing him on the show anymore.

I have watched CBS soaps since I was a child and alternate between ATWT and GL as my favorite serial. Currently, the title goes to ATWT and Mr. Hendrickson was one of the reasons for this.

Whether Hal was growling at Paul, sparring with Barbara, or loving Emily, Mr. Hendrickson was always a joy to watch. He was truly a consummate actor who clearly loved his craft, which made for compelling and delightful viewing. I can barely recall ATWT before Hendrickson’s Hal Munson. I honestly don’t want to think of it after.

My sympathy to both his blood kin and his ATWT family. He will be missed.

I was so sad to hear about his death. Last week during Jennifer’s last scenes he looked so tired and something just seemed off to me. I really loved his acting, in my opinion he is the only one that fit in the Hal role. I hope As The World Turns producers don’t think they can replace him, they messed with him enough in the past. Out of respect for him, the cast, crew and fans need to write a special on screen closure. I will greatly miss him The World won’t be the same.

I would like express my deepest sympathy to his families, on and off screen.

So sorry to hear about the passing away of Benjamin Hendrickson, Hal Munson to me. He was such a great actor and always thought this is the most stable person on earth, his character was for sure.

I live in The Netherlands most of the time, we are almost 2 years behind on the show, so we will still see him for a while.

Right now I am for 6 months in the States and will watch again, only I have to figure out who is who, especially the grownup kids.

My condolences to the family from a big fan from Europe.

I cannot even think about (Hal) being deceased, I have watched As the World Turns for 51 years and this is a tragedy.

We will miss him. He was a wonderful actor.
