Lost in Genoa City
1. Kevin Fisher: Kevin slithered onto the screen as Lily’s smarmy Internet boyfriend in 2003 and spent plenty of time earning hate. He torched Gina’s restaurant, tried to kill Colleen and threatened Lauren’s life. He also took Lily’s virginity and gave her chlamydia. As Kevin’s abusive past with his father, Tom, came to light, however, the character acquired some vulnerability. Fans began to think about crime and punishment: Should a bad man have remained in jail if he was charged with a crime he didn’t commit? Once Kevin’s fascination with no-nonsense Mackenzie began and Terrible Tom came to town, fans thought for sure he would do some major wrestling with his dark side. Instead, Kevin benignly accepted Mac’s interest in J.T. and largely left Tom alone. He’s been a sounding board for Michael and Gloria lately, and he still has a crush on Mac, but he’s hardly the lightning rod he used to be — heck, even his former enemies have forgiven him! Shouldn’t he still be struggling to keep on the straight and narrow?
2. Jill Foster Abbott: Jill has been a thorn in Katherine Chancellor’s side since the day she first laid eyes on Katherine’s husband, Phillip, and the wife and the mistress have been bickering for over 20 years. Finding out that her nemesis was her mother was a huge shock for Jill (not to mention viewers!). Now, however, Jill has taken over Jabot and fallen off the radar. Why is she content with just Jabot, since she knows she’s heir to Chancellor Industries? She should be after Jack’s CEO job. Jill is nothing if not wildly ambitious — that’s how she got her man in the first place — so why is she so timid now? 
3. Katherine Chancellor: This matriarch has always been a Genoa City force, whether heading up her corporation or protecting her loved ones. Claiming Jill as her daughter knocked her off the wagon, but to her credit she regained her sobriety. After her relationship with Jill’s father, Arthur Hendricks, ended in a broken engagement, she has had little to do. How about a new beau? Her new family (Mackenzie and Jill) would surely have plenty to say about any potential suitor.
4. Victor Newman: Business mogul Victor always spoke of one day stepping down from Newman Enterprises and leaving his children, Victoria and Nicholas, at the helm. That’s exactly what happened, but what does Victor do now? He can’t interfere in Newman matters without offending his children. He can’t interfere in Jabot now that it is a Chancellor affiliate. He still craves the competition of business, so it may be time for Victor to create a new company — one that will compete with Jabot and Newman. Beating Jack Abbott and his kids on the playground? Priceless.
5. Nikki Newman: For years Nikki begged her husband to spend more time at home. Now he’s there…and Nik has discovered that she doesn’t really want him around as much as she thought. She once had a hot side project helping Bobby at his club, but since that ended Mrs. Newman just looks bored. She may not be as driven as her husband, but Nikki also needs work. With Victoria feeling unappreciated at Newman, maybe mother and daughter can join forces to create their own cosmetics line to compete with Newman and Jabot. (Imagine Victor’s and Nicholas’ face when they find out!) Get Nikki back to what she does best — turning heads and creating chatter.
