Lesley-Anne Down’s Island Vacation
Lesley-Anne Down needed her travel fix, but the B&B hiatus (July 19-Aug. 2) just didn’t work with her family’s schedule. Luckily, the actress was able to work out an early break and boy, did she ever make the most of it!
“I had three weeks off, which was lovely,” Down says. “It was really cool that I had that so Don [E. FauntLeRoy, her cinematographer hubby] and our kid George could go on holiday.”
Of course, that’s not the whole family. “I have a 22-year-old (Jack) who’s more interested in girls than mom and dad, a 24-year-old (Season) that’s threatening marriage and the 23-year-old (Juliana) that’s shooting in Hawaii,” Down explains. “Juliana’s working on NORTH SHORE as an assistant.”
So where did the available family members go? “We went to Moorea, which is an island near Tahiti and Bora Bora,” Down sighs. “It’s beautiful there. The ocean, oh my gosh, you can’t believe it. It’s like a Disney ocean. It’s lagoon-ish and you can see straight through.”
Even more unbelievable were the island’s accommodations. “You have a glass bottom bungalow and the fish swim underneath you,” Down raves. “It’s lit at night and you can watch the fish swimming. The snorkeling is perfect and we made friends with the manager of the hotel and his wife and two kids. It was great. Just Donny, George and me.”
To top it off, Down smiles, “Now we’ve got the two-week hiatus!”
