Keeping It In The Family

Comments

When people say AS THE WORLD TURNS’s relationships are a little incest-y, it’s not just a figure of speech! Check out some of these tangled and twisted romances that have come just a little too close for comfort.HOLDEN & LILY: They may be Oakdale’s heart and soul, but they’re also uncle and niece! Holden’s adopted sister Iva is Lily’s biological mother, and his adopted cousin Josh is Lily’s biological father.CRAIG & DANI: Craig actually let his wife Betsy think Dani was his child for a while. She later learned that Craig was sterile at the time of Dani’s conception and that her true love, Steve Andropoulos, was the little girl’s dad. Now, 25 years later, we can only hope Craig didn’t ask Dani, “Who’s your daddy?” during one of their romps.CASEY & EMILY: Notorious man-eater Emily not only slept with Casey’s father, Tom, and his uncle Chris, she’s also the mother of his half-brother, Daniel. Though Casey was game to give Daniel a nephew/sibling, Emily ended their fling.PARKER & LIBERTY: Sure, Parker is adopted, but he calls Jack Snyder “Dad,” and Liberty calls Jack’s brother, Brad, “Dad.” So, when these teens slept together, it was just…bad.MEG & JOSH: It’s probably a good thing Meg doesn’t mention her first husband much, since Josh is her adopted cousin (who raped Iva and fathered Lily, as noted above).BRIAN & LUKE: Brian Wheatley married Luke’s grandmother Lucinda and, later that night, put the moves on new grandson Luke. (Fortunately, the feelings were one-sided.)JADE & LUKE, JADE & HOLDEN: Troublemaker Jade was only pretending to be Lily’s long-lost niece. Too bad she didn’t realize the blood tie was real; maybe she wouldn’t have planted a kiss on uncle Holden and faked a sexcapade with cousin Luke.
