Source Interlink Magazines, LLC (by and through its division Soap Opera Digest) (“Sponsor”) is offering Soap Opera Digest‘s Book It! Sweepstakes. These Official Rules shall apply to the sweepstakes (referred to as the “Sweepstakes”) where the “Soap Opera Digest‘s Book It!” sweepstakes denomination appears on a Sponsor-owned site.
ELIGIBILITY. The Sweepstakes is open only to residents of the fifty (50) United States and the District of Columbia. You must be 18 or older as of 07/21/09. Employees of Sponsor and its parent, subsidiaries, affiliated companies and agents, and the foregoing employees’ household or immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Sweepstakes. Sweepstakes is void where prohibited.
TIMING: The Sweepstakes will begin on 07/21/09 and end on 08/11/09 (Entry Period).
HOW TO ENTER: Enter by filling out an official entry form available in Soap Opera Digest. You may also enter by providing the following information on a 3×5 card: name, address, date of birth, phone number and e-mail address. Send your entry to: Soap Digest‘s Book It! Sweepstakes, Soap Opera Digest, 6420 Wilshire Blvd., 12th Floor, Los Angeles, CA 90048. Entries may be handwritten or typed. Entries must be received by 08/11/09. Multiple entries are not permitted. No more than one entry per envelope can be submitted. Sponsor shall not be responsible for lost, late, mutilated or misdirected mail. Entries that are printed by machine, mechanically reproduced, tampered with, illegible or incomplete are not eligible.
RANDOM DRAWING: There will be a random drawing on or about 08/28/09. Winner must comply with all terms and conditions set forth in these Official Rules, and winning is contingent upon fulfilling all such requirements. Drawing will be conducted by Sponsor, whose decision is final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes. Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received. The potential winner will be notified by mail, e-mail or phone on or about the date of the drawing. If a
potential winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days after the first attempt to contact such potential winner, an alternate entrant will be selected in his or her place at random from all entries received.
PRIZE: The Sweepstakes will offer one (1) prize: A character in the book Diva Las Vegas by Eileen Davidson will be named after the winner. No prize substitution or assignment or transfer of prizes is permitted, except by the Sponsor which may substitute a prize of equal or greater value. Winner responsible for all federal, state and local taxes.
ADDITIONAL RESTRICTIONS: Sponsor is not responsible for any failure to receive entries owing to lost, late, incomplete, altered or misdirected entries, faulty machinery or other mechanical error or for entries that are corrupted or otherwise not received correctly or for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer online systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, failure of e-mail, or on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any Web site or combination thereof, including damage to participants computer related to or resulting from participating in any Sweepstakes. All entries submitted are subject to Sponsor’s Privacy
Policy. Entries that do not comply with these Official Rules in all
respects are void. By participating, entrants agree to these Official
Rules and the decisions of Sponsor, which are final in all matters. Winners may be required to sign and return any Affidavit and Release within 7 days of first attempted delivery. Failure to execute and return required documents within such time period will result in disqualification and an alternate winner shall be selected by Sponsor through a random drawing. All entrants acknowledge that all submitted entries become the property of
Sponsor and may be used or edited by Sponsor without any or additional compensation in any and all media, without the further right of approval of entrant, except where prohibited.
WINNER’S LIST: The name of the winner will be available by sending a stamped, self-addressed envelope 60 days after the end of the sweepstakes to the following address: Soap Opera Digest, Attn: Soap Opera Digest‘s Book It! Sweepstakes, 261 Madison Ave., 5th Floor, New York, NY 10016.
