1996-99: Ashley returns home and is attracted to Kurt Costner, a former doctor who is haunted by the accidental deaths of his wife and child. Ash finds proof that Kurt wasn’t responsible and he leaves town — with Hope, Victor’s ex-wife…. Ashley allows Cole Howard (who is estranged from his wife, Victoria) to write a book about her. They fall in love, but Victoria returns to save her marriage. Ashley wins and weds Cole. They later divorce when he takes a teaching position at Oxford.
2000-02: Ashley announces she’s pregnant and claims her pal Christian is the proud papa. Brad persuades her to marry him and she gives birth to Abby. Ash is diagnosed with breast cancer, but survives. 2003-04: Ashley tells Brad that she used Victor’s sperm sample to conceive Abby, then learns she’s pregnant with Brad’s child. Ash loses the baby, blames herself and goes into a catatonic state. She recovers and confesses to Victor that Abby is his daughter; he’s livid and wants visitation. Brad asks for a divorce when Ash declares her love for Victor, who turns her down. 
2005-06: Ash dates Paul and plants drugs on Tom. When Tom is murdered, Ashley takes the blame, knowing her dad is the real killer. John remembers what he did and his confession sends him to prison, where he dies. Jack’s illegal activities at Jabot compel Ashley to accept a job in Hong Kong. Then she moves to L.A. to work for Forrester Originals, where she is currently warming up to Ridge Forrester.
