Ilene Kristen To GH As Delia!
Ilene Kristen, last seen as OLTL's Roxy, will reprise her RYAN'S HOPE role of Delia Reid Ryan on the Monday and Tuesday episodes of GH in scenes with Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Silas (Michael Easton). "I never thought I’d be playing Delia again, that’s for sure!" the actress marvels to Digest. When Executive Producer Frank Valentini called her to see if she'd be open to the gig, Kristen reports, "He said, ‘Are you sitting down?’ " Being on set again with OLTL co-star Easton "was absolutely wonderful," she gushes. As for what Delia has been up to since RYAN'S HOPE went off the air in 1989, Kristen says, "I made up a little backstory for myself that a lot of her dreams had not come true, that she was working over at Ryan’s and had to go back to a place that maybe she didn’t want to go back to. The most important thing that I believe that I did when I did GENERAL HOSPITAL was show her vulnerability, because that is what Delia always had, a tremendous amount of vulnerability."
